And, yet, since I chose not to buy an "authentic" I am frowned upon, shunned by many, and prevented from listing it for sale (although I, personally, rarely sell mods) or even discussing it in many places.
If you’re shunned/ snarled at,whatever, they’re insecure snobs. Not worth your time.
Clones have their place. FT wouldn’t exist if the majority of vapers could afford authentic mods and tanks. Not all clones are good, just as some clones are better than the original. The only way to find things that work is to hear what others say about it, from real time use. Reviewers are great, but an open dialogue here gets me more information tailored to my exact needs to make better purchases.

And , TY again for help with the mech question. I got the Broadside Admiral copper (private sale) and an aluminum Dreamer from the maker (nice Christmas sale, pretty darn affordable). For a $20 difference, I didn’t think the small voltage drop difference would be noticeable to me.

As always, you do you...it’s why people love you here ;)

Actually, ECF rules require shunning any individual sporting both a beard and braces. That's why I don't wear braces.

Now that we've cleared that up, clones are fine with me.

Stop that. Ain't NOBODY ever be shunning The Hoff!

I AM SHUNT!

I am completely against clones. Who in their right mind would want two of me around.

Heck, send the clone to work, you stay home. :thumb:

 :thumb:

Leave it to you, DavidOck. SIGN ME UP!!!

I'm neither a fan nor an opponent. If something works for me, I like it. I've had great luck with clone atties, terrible luck with clone mods. So, I buy the atties, and pass on the mods.

That's not to imply that I think it's the right way, just my way (for me). There is no wrong way to vape*.

Depends upon the context … One night after having a bit too much wine, I was vaping off a Kennedy RDA I had... I always had a nasty habit of pressing the fire button before I ever put the mod to my mouth.... Yep, I had juiced up the wick but forgot to put the top cap on... I hit the fire button and jammed those red hot coils into my lips.... I would consider that the "wrong way to vape"...

Sort of a gave a new meaning to the term "hot lips"

And if I would search your past post s for that story, how many times would I find it? Memorable.

LOL. I may not pay $450 for a car, let alone vaping stuff.
But, extortion entails using force or threats to compel action. Not to be pedantic. Don't think anyone is extorting you.
    Don't buy it. Pretty simple.

The only thing I've obviously over-paid for in vaping was the Provari V2 I bought back in 2011. With shipping it was $224. It's a great VV stick mod and was the best made out there at the time, but these days a comparable product would be $50. Back then, it was a status symbol, kind of like the Rolex.

Reminiscent of lighting the filter, with the added bonus of being one of the first vape tatoos :)

I neither shun nor frown on you. I like you. We differ on our approach to original vs clones/copies. Someone spends alot of mental and physical energy and $$ to innovate. They deserve my dough, if I like the product and it's well priced. If it's way overpriced, I don't bite. So be it.
I don't make the rules about the classies, though I can't say I really disagree.

A Chinese pharmacist named Hon Lik made the first modern day e-cigarette. In 2006 his employer Ruyan Group, now Dragonite International, helped him introduce his invention to the world. Everything since then has been nothing but clones of Hon Lik's invention. Damn those clones! :p

LOL.... yeah that was quite the dragon for sure …. My lips swelled up to double their normal size and it took awhile for them to heal.... Tell you what though… I never did that stunt again.
