Yeah I switched to the smallest bore longer drip tip that came with the sure rta and it’s perfect

Sometimes even the materials come into play. With some flavors, I prefer steel, but other, delrin or similar. It can also be fun experimenting to see which works best with what.

I use some with VERY small bores (does anyone remember Pinnacle tips?), but others with more open ones. Sometimes I even surprise myself, expecting one result but achieving a different one.

So I did something different tonight that kinda threw me a bit, it was a suprising difference in flavor. I normally use kanthal wire for mtl with a 1.2 to 1.4 ohm coil but tonight I tried ni80 that I just picked up and same ohms and same 10 watts but wow what a difference in flavor. With the kanthal I got sharper sweeter notes from my ry4 but with the ni80 I’m getting deeper tobacco notes and is so much better. I didn’t expect such a difference but I’m really enjoying it.

I realize lots of people are gone, but I thought some of you might want to know she passed away a couple weeks ago following an extended battle with cancer.

Yes, by the way (re CT), and it's getting worse and worse (sigh). Many of my best friends have left for greener pastures. Southern FL, freakin' Mayberry (believe it or not), and TN. Most of my (ridiculously large Italian) family is still here, but even a few of them have left. Sad...
