between here and there
I've come to the realization that if I want the sweet and custardy stuff (which I adore and don't want to stop using), I will have to do WAY more coil maintenance and changing.

But what's the bother. You're getting good at building..

You could reduce tge % of flavoring for longer coil life.

Or find a way to keep the flavor and lower the gunkers... not hard to do, i followed recipes that called for so much sweetener it gunked things up too fast dropped sweeteners down and the flavor was more pronounced and tasted better.... YMMV BUT you should definitely experiment in reducing the gunkers down a bit to see what you can make taste good and the same without the issues.

These are good suggestions...that is if your taste buds have healed from all the years of smoking.
You could also use other 'helper' types of flavorings to add sweetness to a mix also. Marshmellow comes to mind used at small %. Or a type of fruit such as dragon fruit also at small %.

Thanks, but my son is the one needing the well wishes. Took him to the doctor friday because he had been sick and not getting better, got admitted to the hospital suspicion of meningitis and other things right now antibiotics are working so there is that.

WOW...I hope your Son gets better real soon! Meningitis is scary stuff.

Thanks! Just came to the realization at how strong my resolve is with my vaping. A weaker resolve would have resulted in me picking up cancer sticks, yet i have zero desire! He is on the mend (it would seem, fingers crossed)

Well he is behaving similar to how i was when i got admitted to a hospital with gastro interitis *(spelling way off) They couldnt figure it out took my barium did many scans but mostly they could just see inflamation took antibiotics (cant take anything PCN, neither can he because of the risk involved especially since its in his throat/neck/head area) and within 72 hours i was all better. He cannot move his neck/head right now (part of the meningitis suspicion) The biggest bonus is because i am a stay at home dad and have dealt with him being sick i was able to tell that he was beyond ok and needed to go to a doctor, we caught whatever it was/is early enough whether it is Meningitis (antibiotics are exact same as woudl be to treat that) or Kawasaki Disease (same again antibiotics to treat) or an abscess (again same antibiotics but has no clear baloon of bacteria) Bottom line he seems to be responding well to the antibiotics aimed at him right now since he cannot take the best broad spectrum antibiotic known to man it has to be multiple varieties targeting likely culprits.

THANK YOU ALL for supporting me, i had to vent this and have also been comforted in my ability to continue to vape. Emerik thanks you, my family thanks you.

Yea, well the bright spot is that he is feeling better he woke up for about 5ish hours today and was way less fussy. Much appreciated.

Glad he's turned around, and hope he continues the right direction.

GO DAD!

Just pull the wick, dry burn and stuff some rayon back in. As said, the coils will last a looooong time.

Sometimes when I dry burn the coil gets white-ish and looks crusty afterwards so I toss it.

Well, picked up a roll of 28ga Ni200 today and started playing with TC.

So far it's going really well. Recoiled a CLR with it. Original coil was about 5 wraps of maybe 28ga or 29ga. I put in ~7 wraps of the Ni200. Got a .11 ohm coil. Set TC for 350F and watts at 11W. Got a nice warm vape and not pegging the TC.

Not bad at all.
