You sure give up fast. When dry burning turn the watts down and pulse the coil so it slowly heats off the gunk. This avoids hot ejuice that may still be on the coil from shooting out and burning you. When you no longer see any smoke coming from the coil, it should be pretty clean.Kanthal a1

At least this is the way I do and it works for me.

A) Did you punch him in the throat?Just got back from a vape party at the local B&M shop....Phil Busardo was there. Lots of stuff given away. Scored 5 bottles of juice t shirts and lots of cotton.. I think Phil and I were the only TPs there.. The store doesn't like Big cloud Comps, so they had some fun with this competition.....They did a MY Von Earl pod cloud comp... pretty funny.. I didn't win but it was a good time. I'll try to post up some video of it later....Baby clouds

That's the way I do it too. I'll take a toothpick and gently scrape away any thick crusty parts then continue to heat the coil and blow off the ashes for want of a better word. You sure give up fast. Not at all, just......... words between thoughts..............You two got some bad blood? Damn.
no idea what that even isJust did my first re wicking and juice fill hacking the My Von Earl pods today..very easy and actually it hits even better now than the original factory set up. It hits better cause I think I threw a bit more Cotten than the original. It's smother with little less crackle. Not that it was bad before.

@Plettschner , just a word of caution, do not dry burn the Ni200 coils. I love my TC mods but I chose SS wire over Ni and Ti for two reasons: you can dry burn SS wire and if TC doesn't work for your vaping style, you can still use the coils in power mode.
While this may hold true there are those wire types that are worse to "dry burn" than others and some you can use care with to gently dry burn..I thought you're not really supposed to dry burn any wire? Though most of what I found seemed like conjecture.

I have always been taught that when you first install a newly made coil,(I do not use TI or NI) you should gently pulse it to prepare it for vaping. Ya know, get the hot legs out etc. and by slowly heating the coil until it glows helps to strengthen the form of the wires.I thought you're not really supposed to dry burn any wire? Though most of what I found seemed like conjecture.
