I think you could get rid of them at the Lowes or Home Depot.

This is where I buy my batteries from. They test all their batteries and their prices are pretty good as well. They are not that far from you in Pennslyvania. I use the Sony VTC5, Samsung 25R and LG HG2.

Sony 18650 VTC5 Battery Genuine & Tested - 20-30A 2600mAh - Flat Top - Wholesale Discount

Samsung INR18650-25R Battery Genuine & Tested - 20A (100A pulse) 2500mAh - Flat Top - Wholesale Discount

LG HG2 18650 Battery Genuine & Tested - 20A 3000mAh - Flat Top - Wholesale Discount
Excellent! I didn't realize they could be this cheap.

But I did eventually realize that there is, like, a forum's worth of battery info here. Found it and am now browsing Battery University. :D

Hey, if you felt the pain I'm feeling, You'd wanna go as quickly as you can to get that sucker outta there. :(

I feel for you. I have a wonderful dentist who is always so sweet and he really doesn't hurt me but there is just something about the whole experience that makes me quake. The smell, the noise and all those pointy picky things.

Yes. Not to mention the fact that they are dented.

It is less than $20 to buy 2 quality batteries. Why risk being in some rag newspaper or on tv because an e-cigarette exploded? Don't add fuel to the media's attempt to demonize vaping. Be safe.

I'm sure the guy who made it on every morning news show (for his pocket blowing out when he put a battery in the pocket w/change & keys) never thought it would happen to him.

Buy new batteries and throw the old dented ones out!!

Throw them right in the direction of the places that recycle. Radio Shackers was our go-to for the longest time, but most have gone under, and the few remaining no longer take batts.

I did a bit of homework, and found that Toys R Us takes them! (the counter clerks don't know they do, so you have to enlighten them...... )

I am researching embossing leather for mod covers and plates. I am watching you all but not really doing anything different.

Those are beautiful. I would really like one for work, have been thinking heavily about it the last couple weeks.

True, I may be a bit lacking on my battery knowledge, is there a risk of exploding due to age?

All I have to test these batteries is the ZMax, and they always come out at 4.2v after charge.

What is proper disposal anyways? Other than these EFests I have a few old eGos that are also toast. Normal batteries I just pitch in the garbage...

As said, diminished capacity. when they no longer charge / retain charge, or no longer provide the vape time they should, time to let go.

Blow up? Possible if overstressed in their aged decrepitude, especially if in a mech or other high power device (which could be a TC mod...)

Recycle ALL depleted batteries. Mother Earth will thank you. Wrap a turn or two of tape - electrical if you have it, cellophane (Scotch) if not, or even masking or painters tape - end to end over the contact areas so there's no chance of shorting out in the recycle bin.

Most Lowe's, Homely Dopes will take them, bins usually near the exits or return area. The mentioned battery shops should as well.

We have a chain of "Batter worlds" that will always take them.
Thankfully we have a decent/strict recycling program here. We're even required to have a separate bin in our homes for food scraps. Our local recycling centre takes Styrofoam, bottles, milk cartons, light bulbs and even small electrical appliances.

Haven't tried dropping off e-cig batts yet. I'm still a newb!

Everyone has their favorite vendor for battery's and what brand and model they use. I buy all my cells from 101 vape, they are priced very good and no worries about counterfeits. To date the LG HG2 are the best cells I have ever owned. They are 20amp and 3000mah and will handle most anything that can use a flat top which the Zmax will accept.

For the way I vape they are the perfect device. Those two are a couple of clones that I use as clothes horses to try things on. Except for the renovated one I am not brave enough to mess with my genuines.

I do share them with hubby who uses the black and one of the silvers.

We just finished all the matching buttons. So I feel much better. I like everything to go together properly.

Is this when I admit to a bit of OCD :p
They're just lovely. I admire anyone who has magic hands. I can draw but I can't vape my creations!

OCD you say? Um yes, I can relate.
