Too funny! And yeah...those folks look a bit rough. Nice folks, but definitely off-putting to the more staid crowd! We really can be our own worst enemy.....:lol::lol:

Bikers are pretty much all like that when they are cruising. There's a large over 40 biker group in our church. All of them are my old friends. When they go on a ride and post pictures on Facebook, they look like the local chapter of Hell's Angels!

Leather jackets and bug guts in your beard will do that.

Well, we'll see. I'd rather not pick up a Kayfun for her, if she decides that 10w vaping isn't where she wants to be.

Right now, I have a Gob Mini V1 with a single 0.75 ohm coil built, and dug out my old Lemo 2 and gave it a bath. Gonna throw a build in it as well. Plus, the Serpent Mini is on the way, and I have several Griffins/Billow V3's.

I figure with the stock I have on hand, she can try just about the full range from tootle puffing - mod whomping - clouds, bro.

Next rabbit hole is finding which PG/VG ratio and flavors she likes.

BOOM!
Why a 10 watt limit in a KF?

TBH, I'm not really sure what wattage MTLers use. I haven't been there in a long while. I went full lung inhale years ago, and have been riding the front of moar airflow moar watts bigger cloudz for a while. Well, for the most part - I still like a restrictive lung hit at reasonable wattage now and then. A single coil on a small flavor atty @ 20-30w is still pretty satisfying.

I also like dual claptons / twisted coils with big lung hits and bunches of power shoved through em for weather-making events (CLOUDZ, BRO!). I gotta be honest, I love shooting lung rockets.

However, I know that most don't vape that way, and I don't usually go that far either. The Kayfun Lite + was my first rebuildable, and at the time , I thought it was awesome. Flavor was on point, and I was running 50/50 18mg juice with great results.

Anyway, personally , I like sub-ohm huge airflow big cloud vaping. I also remember how awesome my first Kayfun was.

My SO is switching from smoking (at least, I hope so). She probably won't want what I'm working with right away. If she's happy with tootle puffing, that's great - I'll happily supply her with fresh builds and liquid in her preferred nic level / PG/VG ratio. I won't understand it, but hey - no matter what I do, she and I are different people.

So bottom line, even though I'm not a tootle puffer (maybe a mod whomper slanting towards cloudZ), I don't care how people vape. I just wanna share.

BOOM!

I tell you what they are super impressive bikes. Ive never owned one but have gotten to ride a couple and they are a sweet machine.

The engine is kinda a Boxer type I think? Makes lots of horsepower with very little strain upon the engine. Unlike a V Twin which fights itself to make a rotation the flat 6 wants to stay in motion.

Not to step away from this thread then I suggest you get a Boreas. I have 2 and there's no better airflow or build deck. Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Well, that's what you like now. But it's not where you started out, right? She's just beginning to vape & still working on quitting smoking. She needs the right vape for her. I DL on a KFL+V2 by slipping a little extra air around the dt. I start with my lips closed & when my mouth is full I just let more air in to finish a good cloudy inhale, firing the whole time. I'm after flavor, not too warm, just about like a cig. Good cloud, lots of flavor. My favorite coil is single, 28g, 2.5, kanthal, at 1.3 to 1.5 ohms & 13.5 to 18 watts depending on the coil & juice. That combination keeps it from getting too hot, too fast. Juice is around 50/50 a little more on the vg side & I'm at 16mg right now, down from 18, & I diy.
I have a dripper I set up with dual twisted 30g for testing flavors & juices. Not crazy about it. It gets too hot & too fast. It's just not satisfying for me so it's getting rebuilt. I've never tried clapton's but I'm curious. Should just order some.
Start her higher ohms, lower watts & then change things lower/higher till you find what SHE likes. She may never vape like you, but she has to find h live in her place, not yours.

This is true. This motor is designed to pull two fat people and all their junk over a mountain without breaking a sweat. Mine gets about 32mpg one up or two up, around town or highway speed (unless I get just ridiculous on the throttle).

About the same motor size and horsepower as my wife's 98 Civic pulling about a third of the weight. (105hp pulling 850# vs 2400#)

Praying for a dry day to get rolling....

Whenever I use my vape, it hurts in my chest, my chest feels heavy and my throat begins squeaking.

Never had this issue before.

When I vape juices high in vg I get a heavy chest feeling but it doesn't hurt,no ill effect on the throat either. What ratio pg/vg are you using?

Why a 10 watt limit in a KF?

Sent from my LG-V700 using Tapatalk

10 watts is the sweet spot for me. It's not too hot and I hardly ever have issues with wicking. The smaller air port on the KF restricts the sweet spot to no more than 15 watts, in my experience. Most of the time I don't inhale into the lungs, anyway. I just inhale enough to exhale through the nose or I exhale from the mouth. PG can be a little on the irritant side if you inhale regularly. If I vape too much VG and inhale a lot I tend to get a slight heavy lung feeling.

The K4 is a little looser on air flow, but it's still not a direct to lung tank like the Orchid or the Lemo.

If someone else made it it might not be perfect.

I have a problem with to much VG. I just got some Coconut vg and am testing it. I don't seem to have the same problem with it but it is still early.

I agree with sorrynomore - it could be the vg. I tend to prefer higher vg juices and have noticed the occasional feeling of heaviness in the chest. No pain though.
