Look great! That's the CF IV with the replaceable battery, right? I got one of those and have been very happy with it.

Yes, it sure is. I was thrilled when I found out innokin was doing this version. Not only the swappable batt, but they reverted to more of the original design, which I love.

(but like DPL, I DO miss the silly lanyard hook thing. I like it! and, no I've never put a lanyard on it.... )

I'm sorry, darlin', but that's just FUNNY!!!!!!!

WHAT. Envious, are ya? Does that ring make the Fatty look fat? ;)

Agree on Innokin, recently got the Coolfire 4 18650 version, and have been loving it. Considering adding at least one more to my stash. I was rather surprised to notice that the manual is not only one of the best I've ever seen with a mod, it even includes warnings about inflated ratings on rewrapped batteries, and a link to Mooch's battery info.

Yes! I noticed that as well. VERY impressive, Innokin. You've not disappointed!

Yah, it takes quite a bit of exposure to light. Here's an early attempt:

Oh, wise tootle puffers...

I'm thinking of getting into some kayfuns. I know diddly about them and am too overworked/tired/lazy to head into the kayfun threads.

I'm still a 1-3 ohm 6-12 watt kinda guy. I've found a nice price on Ehpro Kayfun 3.1. Anyone used them? Worth a squat?

Edit: they also have KF Lie Plus V2. What's the difference?

Any other recommendations from the KF clone family? I primarily prefer simple and dependable. Looks are a distant 3rd place.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Not used one, but from what I've seen people seem to like the Ehpro 3.1 so I'd say maybe?:D Seriously though I have seen that one come up in several discussions when people ask for recommendations.

I'm sure either would be fine. It seems the most popular clone is the EHPro Lite Plus V2. That's what most of mine are.

Good dependable tank, easy to build, very forgiving :) Good flavor, great for tootlers. Not good for high power vapers!

The 3.1 (have 2 in the line-up) is a side fill model, with an extra chamber on the bottom, I presume intended to catch any leaks, but mine don't leak, so... I generally top fill them, since I don't like to hassle with the ball check valve at the filler.

The Lite+V2 is dual air intake and single bottom, so it's lighter. Same build deck. Bottom fill. Screws for the air adjust are on the bottom, and have been known to back out, jamming the tank on the mod, not good. I put a tiny dab of rubber cement on the screw threads to set them. Never had a problem.

Have maybe 8 of them in the line-up, depending on if I've mixed any new flavors

Any of them can be top filled, but I find the bottom fill simpler.

And my favorite of the bunch too. A Kayfil tool makes things much easier (about $5 at FT).

I agree with what the previous folk have said on the Kayfun. All versions work well and especially so vaping @ 1 to 3 ohms.
I purchased another Lite plus just yesterday. :)
I now have 3 of the 3.1's and 2 of the lite pluses.(all clones).

I used to have quite a few 3.1s, but I PIF'd them. Air flow was getting to be to tight for me. I moved on to more air, but they were missed because they were good otherwise.

I got a EhPro KFL+ V2 and the dual air holes are better. I now have four. Never a problem. The KFL+ V2 air flow is in the middle of the KFL 3.1 and the Lemo V1 for me. A touch better flavor than the Lemo since less air is involved.

Kinda like going full circle to 2+ years ago when the Kayfuns and Lemo were coming out. Forgiving build, minimal/no leaks, too.

I think the biggest drawback to the older Kayfuns (up until the v4) is that you are limited by the thickness of the juice. The previous versions shined at 50% VG or less, just try walking out of any vape shop today with a juice that isn't 80% VG. The v4 seemed to be able to wick thicker juices but due to all the moving parts and O-Rings tended to leak like a sieve (for me at least).

I just received my authentic Kayfun v5 last week and it really tics all the boxes for me. Right now (my first build) is a dual/parallel SS316 coil at .47 ohms on my DNA200 at 430 degrees. This thing is PERFECT! I'm currently running an 80% VG juice through it with no issues what so ever. There are some clones out of the v5 so if you don't want to spring for an authentic I would recommend jumping right in with the v5. It's easy to build on, very forgiving to wick, and so far I've not had a single leak.

I have a pile of lites, lite v2s, and 3.1s. The 3.1s are my least favorite (only because they are too big. I still use them but I have much more fun mixing and matching parts on the lite bases. Good advice is to get a bunch of 27mm and 34mm acrylic tanks and some short chimney tops. The shorts work great with the 27mm tanks or even the quartz nano kits. Nice and small on a lite base.

Bell caps are kick but too. I don't have the sku handy but I have 5 bell caps coming where the chimney screws right to the top of the cap. If you snug it good you can refill protank style. They are only $1.50 each. Super stealth kayfun at its finest. I really like the orchid flanged top caps. They screw right onto a kayfun tank. They look much better (imo) compared to the stock kayfun caps.

    It's a lot of fun making franken-tanks.

Here's the 34mm PC tanks that replace a lite's 3 piece tank section

$4.06 Replacement Tank for Orchid V6 RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (5-Pack) 5-pack - PC (polycarbonate) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These require the short chimney top but shave 7mm off the total height of the tank:

$4.30 Replacement Acrylic Tank for Kayfun Lite Five Pawns RTA (5-Pack) 5-pack - translucent at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These look fun as heck. You can't built low resistance with the plastic chimney but being able to see your coil and wick without opening it up seems pretty cool. I'm not sure if the chimney size is the same as the regular kayfun. If it is then you can replace with a metal one. I have to wait a few weeks before mine arrive:

These are my fave top caps:

I've been a Kayfun lover for a couple of years now. I have 3 KF4's and 3 KF3.1's, along with an assortment of other RBA's that I've tried over time.

My EHPro Squape came in yesterday and I built it this morning after letting the parts sit overnight in a Palmolive hot water bath. The machine oil aroma was barely detectable, but I always like to wash them up before building.

The Squape was a piece of cake to build. After seeing some of the clones with the green slime looking insulation on the deck I was a little dubious about buying one. The EHPro came in with a nice, shiny satin steel looking finish on the non-conductive deck. I was impressed. I wound up a compressed 28ga Kanthal 2.5mm coil and installed it on the posts. That was easy! I found the knurled screw posts really easy to snug down as I installed the coil, then I screwed the posts tight with a screwdriver. I installed a wick and put it back together.

I think I need to get the coil a little closer to the air hole and force the wick down into the juice channels. If I let it sit for a while, the next hit has a very slight gurgle/crackle to it. That goes away with the first hit, though. Once my initial half tank filling is gone I'll pull it apart and fix the wicking and coil height. Overall, it's a great tootle puffer tank. Flavor so far is about equal to a Kayfun.

$9.99 on clearance at Madvapes while they last. I might just order a couple more in defiance to the FDA. I'm accumulating more of the RBA's I like for backups to my backups.

The Kayfun lite Plus clone I purchased yesterday needed work! I had to touch up all the threading with my dremel as they were super rough. The positive pin/screw didn't come down far enough to make contact with any of my 3 mods, sooo,I had to make a washer out of a chunk of rubber and place that to give me good contact.Plus the whitish "O" rings that came with this unit,well....suck!

I don't know who makes this clone,it comes in a grayish camo style box with Kayfun written in the middle of the box with thick lettering over top a outline drawing of the atomizer.....Stay away from this clone unless you wanna play with it some! :)

A new pic for you. The new mod we have just finished. It is a stabilised olive with pink highlights. It's actually a fully functional squonker but I am not completely convinced on the benefits of squonking, so I made some ink swirled SS tubes to sit in the space and show through the hole.
