2B, the Silverplay deck is compatible with the KF... did you ever try your nano setup with a SP deck?

Just curious if you did and what experience was.
It works with the original Silverplay not the Nano and it used The 34 mm bellcap.

I tried that but tge flavor was pittiful.

Correct. I never Fedex, UPS and others are not affected .

U don't think USPS will ship 99% alcohol.

I use that to sterelize my accupuncture needles.

I hadnt seen this. The colors look like the icare. I wonder if it takes the same coils?

Looks nice but I think I'll stick with the icare because it's smaller and you can hide it in your hand, a plus for stealth.

Similar, I started with CE4/ego, then a Vivi Nova/SID, then the kayfun Lite for first rebuildable. That changed everything! I also went from MTL to DL and back to MTL. I missed a few good atties during that period and went back and tried many of the MTL atties of 2014/15. This is the period that works best for me and hits those attributes of MTL I love best (tight draw, small deck/chimney, above ohm, etc.)

I have stashed a treasure trove of :
  • KFL goodies (all manner of stuff to make all kinds of configs)
  • Erlkonigin nano (maybe the greatest of all time - flavor++, top fill, tiny, easy build deck, afc)
  • Spheroid V3 (absolutely a stunning design and the perfect vape for me each time)
These 3 are the pinnacle for me and there are a few others that most definitely I have an abundance of and get a close 2nd string:
  • Squape R(s)
  • Hurricane
  • Phenomenon Lite
  • Calix V2
  • Tilemahos V2
  • Chel's Mini Atty
  • Gus Aiolos V2
Many clones in there and many authentics bought 2nd hand in classies after the shiney wore off of them :)

I never vape over 15 watts so Provaris make up the abundance of the mod side with some stuff I like throw in here and there (Pico, Athena, etc.) A few mechs if that time ever comes we all dread, worst of the worst.

I am interested in the POD mods for out and about. I'm waiting for that market to settle down just a bit and figure out the good MTL devices. A friend has the Juul and it really is a unique device and vape.
I've avoided pod mods so far because a black SV on a black Pico is fairly stealthy and because I'm concerned about whether I can keep a pod mod running in the long run if access to product is interrupted. Can they be rebuilt? The coil heads look small.

Part of the hobby for me is to develop vaping habits that are sustainable regardless of government interference. Mods with built in batteries can probably have new batteries installed by a competent electronics person. Atomizers are a different story. I might still use my N mini except I can't rebuild the coil heads.

I'm with you and I definitely have my long term stealth worked out (Erl on a Pico is uber-stealthy, even more so on a mini volt or nugget).

Doubtful IMO w most of the gear. I think these will probably be the future though so probably see a lot more of this type device. My interest would be simply to check them out, see how they might fit in my journey. At this point would definitely not be looking to them for long term vapapocolypse.

The challenge with regulated devices like the Pico is definitely the electronics. The board will go out sooner or later. Probably best here to stock up quite a few for the day when the board goes. If have the skills to replace the board even better!

Vaping is about the ritual, not just the vapor. Different hardware makes you do things differently. People get preferences, rational and otherwise. I started with an N mini, then an Atlantis, then the rebuildable sub mini. I went from MTL to lung hits and back to MTL. My first try with a 22mm rda (Tugboat) was the end of my interest in tanks. It took a few months experimenting with different clone rda's to figure out that the SV rda was going to be my favorite. For $7 each I've got 10 of them in the stockpile, more than a life time supply and I'm sure I'll vape them exclusiely for the rest of my days. I did some customizing. A tall slip ring controls leaking. I use a short derringer style drip tip to drip through and a .030" home made shim so the air supply is oriented away from the tall battery door on the Pico. A black SV on a black Pico is stealthy and even looks blingy, until I add the dorky silicone sleeve.

Tanks are taller and more breakable and have more of parts. The SV is fast to rewick, which i do often. With temp control I can vary the vapor production by letting the wick go dry. I estimate re dripping happens about 10 times a day and takes 10-15 seconds. Not time consuming. The only down side might be that i have to be more careful about preventing leaking when the juice well is full by being sure the slip ring is in place in my pocket. I'm not intersted in squonking in part because I can't do it with the SV and because temp control needs to be there for me.

A lot of vapers, including me, get to a point where we've got something that's working, that's good enough, and we stop looking for something "better".
I'm very curious about this SV rda. I didn't have enough coffee yet, and google didn't want to impart its wisdom.

I decided no mechs for me so I've made a study of what might be involved by depending on regulated devices. I have multiple mods in cold storage that won't be put in serviceee until that's the only working device available. They are likely to work as new when needed except for one teenie weenie caveat. There is some good evicdence that the oled screens, generically, may have only a 10 year shelf life. So years from now i fire up a new in the box pico and the screen is dead, ouch. But don't panic. May be the screen used is generic and will still be available as a spare part. Another fix, there is after market firmware available today for the devices i'm stockpiling that apparently lets you see and adjust settings via a PC. If you have that firmware install it on the device, adjust the settings via the pc and lock the buttons. Either one of those solutions would be adequate for me. A third option is having some simpler regulated devices that don't have an oled screen to go bad. I've read enough about unprotected mech mods. I'm not going there.

Oh, I'm not knocking squonking, or dripping or any of the other styles of vaping. Whatever keeps us all from smoking is the right way to vape.

As someone else mentioned everyone has their preferences. I know for mant vapers vaping has evolved into a hobby and it's fun to experiment with different sizes, mods, tanks, temps, flavors etc, etc.

For me it's strictly a replacement for cigs. It has to be as simple (or darn near) as pulling a cig out of the pack and lighting it although I've had to make allowances for the dark ages (such as learn to coil, diy juice).

I am with you on that. Nice and simple, I can swap a coil in 5 seconds. I do have the stash and am working on re wicking my PT coils. Deciding what material I like best.

I haven't been keeping up, and although the conversation seems to be civil, there does seem to be some disagreement.

As long as we can all agree that I am right and correct, we'll be fine...

Of course, as I am a hobbyist and partake of all styles... lol...

While I'm also a regulated vaper, I do have 3 good mechs in my stash box. I have fuses for them, and also kick modules. Either will provide some protection, and the kick, of course, gives regulation, although a bit awkward to adjust on the fly!

Nothing inherently unsafe with them, but the user does have to be careful and educated on safe practices.

You might want to reconsider mechs. I went with a few that accepts kicks. Threw some of those in my stash as well. Not as convenient as a regulated mod, but not a bad compromise.

I got most of my SV's from Fasttech who no longer has them in stock. I decided I wanted some black ones and found a source here. Science of Vaping SOD 5K RDA Clone - Dual Top Cap (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) - VapoRider The offer is 2 for the price of one so $5 each. They are clearly being closed out. I suppose most people who want one have their's, the fan boys have moved on so they aren't selling. Many many worthy products will disappear this way. I probably shouldn't be showing you this because they become harder for me to find incase i want more.

They are intended for single coil. Blessedly the air supply is only on one side of the tank so it's much easier to control leaking with thiis slip ring, which I use turned inside out. $2.47 Silicone Anti-slip Ring for E-Cigarette Atomizers / Mods (10-Pack) 10-pack - 22mm outer diameter / 18mm inner diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I didn't like the SV at first beause I thought it required a vertical build but horizontal works just fine if you wind the coil backwards so the low leg lines up with the low post and the high leg lines up with the higher post. I would say it's a bit fiddly to build on but once you get the hang of it it's easy. I mentioned in a previous post that it's particularly good at picking up my 1% flavoring. My other rda's don't do that so well. The slip ring works easily for leaking because the straight walls of the barrel and high air supply placement allow moving the ring without removing it. The air hole is drilled at a steep down angle so that the hole can be placed high but the aiir is directed downwards and under the coil. The positive post influences how the aiir emerges from under the coil. I can redrip 20 drops which is half an ml. The SV come with 2 barrels. One of them has one air supply and another with two next to each other on one side. The single hole is fine for MTL. I don't use the other barrel. So no adjustment in the air supply which helps minimize leaking. I continue to watch out for an atomizer i might like better.

As long as you're using safe atomizers with safe builds - and check before attaching, safe batteries, a well maintained device, and have a working knowledge of Ohms law, mechs are as safe as most any regulated device. I have many in different configurations and use them frequently with no ill effect. I would encourage every vaper to have at least one (Nemesis, Chi You, King V2, Stingray... all good choices) stashed away as a backup to redundancies... they're cheap (under $20 most places), and not prone to failure. I would avoid 4nine, Black Ring (Karma), VGod, Simple, Able, Scndrl, Limitless (all are hybrid top), Stingray X and Phantom (they have hybrid top cap options...), Maraxus (hot button)...

I saw them at FT two or BNN three days ago.

Search RDA and then click "more Atomizers" and that veill show you over 300 screens of attts. Choose sort by price and you can find them.

Just look around at them, Bea, and find one that suits you. I prefer side fire ones rather than bottom fire. Probably just me, but I always think they're going to fire when stood up.

Ones that telescope will generally be able to take a kick. I have one of these, and it works well.
EA MECHANICAL MOD V2 by EHPRO - $5, $10 & $15 SALE - Clearance

There are many other mechs there as well, all at fire sale prices.

As Shawn says, avoid hybrids. Without a topper with a protruding pin they will go boom!
