o_O I've already had to turn on the AC. Today is nice enough to have the windows open but not much longer.
In my neck of the woods the A/C is on March through November! Although we have some cooler days when we can turn it off and open the windows early in the morning.

I recall a book I had as a child, about the state of Vermont.

One page had a photo of a farmer leaning on a fence with a snow covered vista behind him.

The caption proclaimed, "Well, summers are short 'round here. Last year it was on a Thursday."

We do get summer, but not for a while.

The "E-Health" 401 $65 cartridge/atomizer cigalike kit was our first try in 2010. The batteries failed within a month. A year later we tried again with 510 carto setups and were off and running. I just realized that was six years ago today!

Congratulations.

I started and quit smoking on an Evod/

Might wanna get the coil on the left spaced a bit.

Okay, will do. I pre-coiled the wick because I didn't see how I could possibly thread it through = sloppy coils!
Should I add cotton to the juice wells?

No cotton anywhere. What's the coil read?

Ya gonna try running in TC?

Some of thos older gennies do not do well with low builds. Their insulators weren't designed for that much heat. I've built that low, but then I run the vape on the cool side.

Next step is to connect to a mod and pulse to locate and eliminate hot spots...

No, that's just what I had on hand. Looking at this it's pretty sloppy. I'm going to rebuild it and go for higher resistance

If you do the same built in Kanthal, assuming a 2.5 mm ID, it will put you at about 0.6 ohms. Keep in mind, as Shawn said, that in the vaping pleistocene sub-ohm was the exception, not the rule and as such, most gear and its components weren't designed for very high temps. Ten wraps of Kanthal will bring you closer to 1 ohm, 7 wraps of 30g will also get you to 1 ohm. In those days 30g-32g were the popular wires because you could build to above ohm without too many wraps or the heating delay you'd have from thicker wire.

It's hard to accurately gauge the diameter as I am using a small steel rod through it and wrapping around the mesh. I am at my third try and just switched to 30g kanthal

Find a screwdriver, mandrel, or bit that is the closest to the diameter of the wick ports. Build your coil around that, and install. Then, roll your wicks so that they will just brush the coils as they are inserted through the coils and into the wick ports.

Or...

Roll your wick around a straightened paperclip, than, while the paper clip is still in there, wrap the coil.

But still locate a bit that fits the wick ports. It's a good way to judge diameter.
