I wish I would've asked here first! It was totally unnecessary when I changed them, I just wanted the pink o-rings. I was kicking myself after doing so. Thanks for the link!

I now just replace them if there are leaking issues , it seems the original O ring that sits in the groove on the base stays put but when replacing it with a new one i can't get it to stay put thats all. Now i just leave it alone if the tank is working well.

I also need to stop opening and playing with every new thing I get and just stick it in the stash pile!

Just make sure you look your gear over before it goes in the stockpile. Nothing worse than finding out years down the road that something is broken. A different method for washing may be in order.

Well i have also experienced issues when trying to keep the O rings in place after changing them , it's not the top one it's the O ring thats sitting on the base that keeps falling off .

Were they authentic o rings?

You were talking about replacing o-rings. One of the reasons they don't stay put is because they are dry. When they are insalled if you wet them in water or better yet PG they will swell slight and become a bit tacky. Its one of the reasons everyone says lube your orings.

Wish I could cuss. I just dropped my brand new tank in the sink while rinsing it and broke the glass. I'm upset because when I've changed the glass in the past (putting on more colorful o rings), the seal is never the same. There goes $18 literally down the drain :(

After looking at that crack in the glass, believe it or not if you wrap transparent tape around that real tight you will still be able to vape on it until the new tanks come in.

Make sure the width of the tape is the same as the glass and make sure you wrap it while the glass is still on the frame of the subtank as shown in the pic.

Do not take the glass off and try to do it. Only if you are really desperate though

I have resorted to doing that many times.

I'm going to buy one of those rubber things that go in the bottom of a sink for next time.

I'm 90% sure they were authentic o rings but I don't remember where I purchased them. It's a little late in the game, but I've also started saving my receipts so I will be able to know where I buy things.

Also have a look through your stash to see if you have any others that fit.

Yup, definitely authentic , they fit in the groove perfectly they just don't stick and stay like the original O rings.

Thanks very much for the suggestion but it's too late. I put on rubber gloves and it basically broke off in my hand as I tried to pull it off. Was very glad I had gloves on! There's a replacement glass that came with the tank that I'll use. Unfortunately, some of the paint did chip off, but at least my situation is somewhat improved. The worst part is that I have no one to blame but myself![emoji4]

So, authentic o rings don't have the problem of not fitting the base? If so, I'll order some authentication for the stash as these have become my primary use tanks. I still love my eggrolls and amor tanks but I'm also quite fond of the STMs (funny how I keep making different juices to accommodate more tanks so my rotation is getting bigger and bigger!)

Time heals all wounds, right? Can you believe this is my very first broken tank glass? Maybe it's a right of vaping passage! Lol!

Nope, no issues fitting the base , staying there is the problem.
