I guess sometimes vape stuff just goes bad for no apparent reason...? I'm convinced that at least this time, it's not operator error[emoji4]

Ironically, I had this exact problem last week and went thru all the things you are doing now. Finally, I changed the coil from the new one that came already installed on the rba to another one just made and it worked. Totally surprised me.....and I can not explain it. One would not think the fault would lie with the wire itself, but in my case it did. ?????totally weird.

Thing is, I've tried several bases. Ones that I know work as they're fine with the other RBAs... I've also tried on 2 different ohm meters . Thanks for the suggestion though I'm totally perplexed!

IF I didn't explain what I said above very well I found the post explaining what I said...

Open up the air control all the way and look into it to see if the bottom of the rba is touching the bottom positive pin in the base...maybe use a flashlight. Could be no connection of the two.

Thank you, I'll try that!

Another thought, are both o rings on the RBA in place & undamaged, is there an o ring stuck in the base where the RBA or replacement head seals?
Remove RBA from base, should be one lower & one upper oring on RBA where it threads into base.

1 extra o ring, no contact, one too few, short.

If there's a squonk mod with VW/TC the size of a Pico, I would consider it. Definitely need an RDA that is very leak-resistant. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with the KFL Bellcap.

Just a bit larger than Pico, but it will not send your check book into convulsions, look at the Kanger Dripbox 2. The CoV Wraith is also a fairly small device, not causing grand mal seizures in tour bank account. It is however larger than the Dripbox 2. I like both, use both, the Wraith has a single door for bottle re-fill and battery chang while the Dripbox 2 has separate doors.

I've tried other wires and they aren't working either :(

This is a hail marry try, look and see if by chance fluid got on the 510 pin and the ohm reader's contact. Usually that will cause fluctuations, but who knows? Also, check for fluid inside the base.

I really mean no disrespect, really I don't...

Didja move the switch thingy on the right side to ohm reader?

Other than that, must be the insulator is cracked or allowing arc/contact or the center pin spring is missing or fubar.

I know on all of my cheap ohm checkers if you tighten them too much they don't work or give funky readings.
Just tight enough to prevent wiggle/wobble, yours appear to be a lot tighter than any of mine will work.
And, if you crank down on them even once they rarely work again.

No worries, I didn't see anything as disrespectful

I don't want to 'like' this post. There has to be an explanation. Especially since you said it was working.

This bad RBA came with one of the first STM's i bought. Nothing would make that thing register on an ohm's reader. I tried all kinds of wires, even some prebuilt coils. Never could get it to work. I finally pitched it.

Awesome panels @Krisma. I would have to put it in a glass cabinet.

No need. They are changeable so use and replace with new ones when you get tired of poiple. Although I don't know anyone who gets tired of poiple :p
