Y'all sitting down?
Ehpro Mod 101
First Impressions
It's flippin' gorgeous! Although the tube is a 3 piece tube, and allows for use with an 18350, 18500(?), or 18650, it's virtually impossible to spot the seams. I am running in 18650 mode, now, and I see no real reason to change.
The battery cap is a bit odd. It's internal... the smallest tube is unscrewed, and the cap - which is actually just there to take up slack and eliminate battery rattle - screws into the inside from the outside... Odd, I tell ya, but it works! I believe this will accommodate a button top, even.
As this device has but one button, the menu is also a bit different. It's five clicks to power on, five clicks to power off, and three clicks to get into the menu. Once there, pressing the button will round-robin through all the options: Power, Temp (only shows on TC mode), Work Mode, Calibration, Display, and Exit. When the item needing adjusted is showing, waiting a couple seconds will activate it. Once adjusted, waiting again will put the mod back into operating mode. The work modes are Bypass, Power, TC Ni, TC Ti, and TC SS. When adjusting power or temp, it takes slow even pushes. Pushing rapidly two times flips the direction of travel. For instance, adjusting wattage up from 10 to 12 watts is click... click... click... click (it adjusts in .5 watt increments). Pressing clickclickclickclick, on the other hand will increase 1 watt, flip direction of travel to down and decrease 1 watt before flipping again. Imagine my surprise when I wanted to go up five watts, clicked 20 times, and wasright where I started! Temperature adjusts the same way, but in 10 degree increments while in F and 5 degree increments in C. The range is pretty standard... 100 - 300 C, and 200 - 600 F. Everything round-robins both directions.
In operation, it's good. Power mode vapers, especially, will be happy with the performance. In SS TC, I find it is running a bit cool.
Of course, I've only had it an hour, so there's a lot left to play with, but first impressions are positive.
YMMV
