18 Hour Leak Report: I put my S2 to bed yesterday at 17:00 in a wide pill bottle...Full tank, Air Open and The Air Holes Facing Down...Propped the back of the bottle up so the tank was at an even greater angle...At least 45 degrees...I did my best to try and get it to leak...Not One Drop...No Seepage, No Beading...Noth'in...Trig :)

It is as not my intention at all to accuse toolman of being rude. I thought he was possibly making a joke. I've done a lot of research about refilling a top fill tank and I get the concept, but the process is an inconvenient pita to lazy me who wants instant gratification and doesn't want to get out the paper towels. And who doesn't want to reasearch how to fill a tank.

Bottom fills are just plain ole PIB's. Now having said, that I do have in use two Erlk"s that I don't have a problem with.
My bottom-fill assembly-line works fine for me. Don't see why people complain about it.

No worries, @lil_buddy, I only share the info in case it helps and there is interest. I know in forums there is no body language, tone, etc. to indicate the other person's intention. Hope my intention is more clear now.

I can only share, from my perspective, this is a super simple thing to do, takes no more effort than bottom filling or top filling with a JFC (just different but not more) and requires no paper towels :)

IMO there is NO perfect RTA and any one of them can have issues depending on many factors but top filling a vacuum tank with no JFC, for me, is a relatively painless procedure as described in the video shared earlier.

I sincerely hope no one is topfilling OR bottomfilling while driving, that's a terrible idea. Perhaps I am just one of those folks who needs to pay attention while driving. :) As far as that method in a bar? It is no harder than a topfill necessarily, you just can't drink for the 3 minutes it takes to do it, since yeah, it requires two hands.

Me personally, with bottom fill tanks that like to have issues, I wrap clear packing tape around the base (the top actually, since it's turned upside down) to hold everything in place while I fill. Well worth it with my kabukis I find.... There's never any leakage or seepage around the top of the tank. I prefer to assembly line fill my tanks for the most part, but today I'm annoyed, both coils in both kabukis are bad and I just filled them. Le sigh. This is why I cannot imagine dripping to be easier, in all honesty.... I'd rather fill a tank and then not have to do anything for a while. I think some topfill tanks are easy, and some bottom fill tanks are easy-- I guess that would make me a topbottomfiller or something (God, don't anyone go there please) but I'm okay with that.

Exactly...And that's why I love the Innokin Prism Tanks so much...Open - Fill - Close - Vape...No gurgling and no leaking...The only time I only fill one 3/4 is on a brand new coil...Otherwise it's to the brim !!!

This is/was one of my possible concerns with the S2...With a tank capacity of only 2ml if have to "Short Fill" it to prevent leaking or gurgling I wouldn't be thrilled...So far that is not the case...1st fill was a bit over 1/2 way and the next 2 have been to the Top...In addition I'd have to say it's as easy if not easier to open than the T18/T22 Prisms...We Shall See & I too am in kind of a holding pattern...I do like the KF Prime with the extension...Trig

The top fill tanks I have had off the top of my head:
Cubis, ICare solo, kanger top tank mini, milspec/aspire nautilus mini...
Interesting...I have a TopTank Mini and it's AOK just so long as I remember to close the Air Flow Off...The one that causes me grief is the N2...It's a PITA to open and gets a little messy...And with only a 2ml capacity by the time I get it to stop gurgling and the air adjusted to my liking...It's time for a re-fill...Drives Me Nuts !!!:lol::lol:

Agreed! I used to be able to smoke, eat, talk on the phone while driving, but would NEVER attempt to refill a tank while driving. Even if I was in the passenger seat, I'd wait (I've spilled WAY too much juice and my car has cloth, not leather seats)

I do an assembly line to fill my tanks. Usually when the start the day tank needs filling. So once every 2-3 days.

I almost thought you said a moving vehicle there. I can vape in my car, in fact it's easier than smoking, as when I drop my vape, not much happens. When I used to smoke in my car, I'd always be worried about starting a fire.... I also seem to have MUCH more interest in keeping my car clean these days (I was never worried about the carpet catching fire really, just random paper and trash, LOL).

Kinda glad really as AZ has gotten a bit draconian about doing things while driving... Like phones, which I cannot argue against, but really.... The snowbirds are back, I have to focus on the road.

I'm loaning my car to my mom when she comes to visit in Dec. I have a Mazda 3 THAT'S STICK shift and I LOVE it, it will probably never be the same.... But that was preferable to her renting a car and staying HERE. I love my mommy but as a grown adult, I have to say we're all going to be happier if she retreats to her motel when she gets tired. I felt it the lesser of two evils.... She's a busy lady running a school part time still (she's 70, sheesh) and she does lots of emailing. I am not quiet. At all.

Often it is much better that way.

Here you go...skip to 1:45 on this vid... The principle is the same on all vacuum RTAs that don't have JFC.

In the video, he literally says it's a pita, and he got juice on his hands in the process.

Top fill was supposed to make filling easier/ more convenient/less messy with respect to bottom filling. You are supposed to be able to fill with the tank still on the mod. In my experience that hasn't been the case and it makes me feel kinda ripped off. I feel like that Ares design might be a winner though. I want to get stuff that's better than the stuff I already have.

have no problem bottom filling.

so far I have had one and only top fill atty not pee all over my mod. that was the Cleito mini I got from Fasttech.

update. Thought of another the Erlkonigi nano clone. I vaped it till the atty fell apart and I lost the top cover in a sink.

that little ERL leaked a drop.

I tried to take the atty off to rebuild, but the top came off instead of the atty.

Mine will spit or gurgle after refilling.

I will say it is minor compared to the Cubis and iCare - those never leaked either.
