anyone know any roofing contractors in Indiana. had a rough weekend with some leaks. lol

Tried to send this by PM but that doesn't seem to be working. If you are still looking and you are in the Indianapolis area I recommend Universal Roofing. They have been around for a long time. I've used them several times.

T for Texas!
I noticed a new (to me) tank pre-order on fasttech called the Tilemahos Armed. I then found a pbusardo video about the authentic version
.

I am captivated by the novel method of putting in a coil which requires no screws. It made me think of you, @Two_Bears as you have talked about your issues with capturing wire with screws (I have some issues with it too)

GG atties are fantastic and the craftsmanship is at the high end.

We’re expecting a small crowd this year. I find it hilarious that my mom bought a 16 lb ham AND a 16 lb turkey. That’s 32 lbs of meat for 11 people!!!!! I guess we’ll be eating A LOT of sandwiches!
Hope you all have a great turkey day!!!

My husband was proactive this year, and got a small one, so there won't be endless leftovers. I'm not really a turkey fan and if I had my way it would be a) lamb b) a stuffed chicken-- free the turkeys! or c) ham. It's just the dryest meat ever unless you deep fat fry it (which I have done in the past, but I really never felt that great about doing it, mainly due to the unhealthiness, but also due to the fact that I was always worried it would blow up.

Yes, I have tried a jillion marinades, slow cooking, and even injecting butter with herbs under the skin, but turkey is just dry.... :)

Yes, I make gibblet gravy and it's fantastic. I also do that with chickens and it's fantasticer, LOL. :) I'm a good cook and I give turkey the thumbs down, but I eat it twice yearly, Christmas and Thanksgiving, and in my opinion, there should be a turkey thing in June or something, because those turkey eating holidays are way too close together.

I don't like turkeys in the wild, and I don't like them cooked, either. :)

I am with you on this Anna. Never did like turkey but learned to cook it and made the mistake of doing it too well. LOL

Too well? I found that those little pop-up thermometers are not right. Turkey done right is just this side of rare. No blood, but the leg comes loose with a bit of effort. Dry turkey no more.

Guess I didn't word that correctly......not meaning cooking the bird too much, meaning everyone loved how I did it. And always asks me to cook thanksgiving dinner when I am up north. I don't bother with those little pop-ups things either. I cook turkey in a very slow oven, 300-350 degrees, basting often, covered in tin foil until the last 45 mins or so.

Has anyone been following the "net neutrality" issue? For those who are not familiar with it the FCC is voting next month to charge (or not) for internet usage. If it passes it will be kind of like having cable where you buy a package…basic or movies etc. It could also mean social media would no longer be free…we would have to buy the package. ECF would not be free as forums are considered social media. For example, a provider could chose to block or slow certain websites…maybe they disapprove of vaping…I suppose they could then choose to simply not include our ECF in any of their packages…or make it expensive. How many of us would be willing or able to pay for it? What would happen to our beliced ECF?

I wonder how @Oliver feels about this issue?

For more on this issue: FCC plan would give Internet providers power to choose the sites customers see and use
