Spaced coils provide a more stable resistance read, and fewer (if any) hot spots.

Almost exclusively, I run contact coils on my mech and spaced coils on my regulated devices. ALWAYS spaced in TC.

My Digiflavor Siren 2 GTA and my Innokin Ares RTA came in yesterday from MyVaporStore. I'm looking forward to a more modern MTL vape than my Kayfuns. That said, I have a stack of the latest and greatest from the past few years and I tend to go back to the Kayfun after playing with them for a while. Both of the above seem to be designed for MTL and I suspect that they will be in my new vape rotation for flavor and MTL vaping.

In my recent switch back and forth testing and comparison between KGD Cotton and Rayon I've noticed that rayon stays clean several times longer than KGD. I'm tending more toward rayon as my main vape medium in the last 2 or 3 months.

Me, too, as of receiving some rayon kindly sent for me to try, by @brewbear about 6 months ago. @ChelsB and @Sugar_and_Spice also sent some of their extra after that. All those KGD organic cotton pads I bought haven't been touched at all since trying rayon. Now...I've got a box of rayon that'll last me a good long while. I Love it!

I bought Sally's rayon in the blue and white box 2 or 3 years ago and didn't know that you have to pack it tight and trim the tails to half or less. I wasn't impressed when I tried rayon using my cotton skills. It was when I rolled it a little more to pack it tightly enough and trimmed the outer 3rd of the wick tails that it produced a vape I liked more than my KGD wicks.

I've been vaping mostly rayon for the last year or so and it's become my choice for wick material. Instead of replacing cotton wicks every 3 days I'm replacing rayon no more than once a week. Even after a week I can rinse out the old wick and it looks almost new. The higher burn point of rayon keeps it from scorching.

I vape a very sweet juice that turns dark quickly, I use rayon exclusively too. Good to know that spaced are better for my purposes (although my menthol juice hardly gunks at all)

I bought the little 40' box of the Graham Beauty brand Cellucotton on Amazon, since I goofed up and didn't cancel my Prime trial membership in time. Figured I might as well get a few more things I wanted, with free S/H for another month. I made sure I got the 100% Rayon Fibers one, too. The 40' box shows its 44130 if anyone else is looking for it on there.

My hairdresser gave me a bunch from her monster size box, when I'd asked her last June if I could get "just a little bit to try". But I discovered later that it was the cotton/rayon mix. It did OK, but the 100% rayon I got later from the people I mentioned earlier was much better.

I've come to realize that the comparison questions, albeit interesting, do not always provide a definitive answer...

I truly believe that as pioneers in this world of vape,,,, it behooves us all to TRY things, play with gear, experiment to the max. We all know, or at least have heard that "TIS", and so I say PLAY, TRY, EXPERIMENT, and then choose/decide/figure out what works for you.

@Katdarling, I completely agree with you that everyone’s vaping journey is different and we find our own particular vaping happy place. [emoji4] But, since I’m some issues with coil and wick lifespan, I wanted some input. Now I know of another contributing factor to said issues: I need to space out my coils more!

I was just told about a new service the USPS has for customers, and signed up for it. Thought some of you might be interested, too. I was told it's not available in all areas yet, but you can find out if your area has it or not, on their website. It's easy to sign up for it...took me about 3-4 minutes is all.
