What I'm dreading is when it comes time to clean the Kayfuns. Not much work to clean Kabukis and Eggrolls. The Kayfuns, as you know, have a bunch more parts. So do you completely break them down, wash and start over? Or just replace the wick? Or pull out the old wick, dry fire it and the rinse the deck? Or what?

Depends. I use mostly KF2 series, and leave the entire tank section together, taking it all off the deck as one piece. Pull the wick, clean all under hot running water. Dry burn and rewick. Don't see any need to do a full tear down, except rarely for deep cleaning.

Me I just can't get into clouds. I'm the odd one.

Being allergic to vg probably has something to do with it.
I'm still using an Aspire Nautilus as they have brought me the most enjoyment. I have doubled the size of the air intake though. I have 2 or 3 of those other tanks but they just lay in the drawer.

I'm a Marino fan back from his days at Pitt, and I admire all good QBs, even those named Brady. ;)

Unitas was hands-down the best QB ever, and there's nobody even in his stratosphere. He was so much better than every single one of his peers that the only comparison anyone could possibly make would be with Babe Ruth. They were similar to their respective sports, and compared to all who surrounded them.

I'd love to say differently (with Marino in the GOAT role), but it's impossible to see it any other way when looked at rationally.

I heard Louis Riddick say, back a couple of months, that if Marino was playing with today's rules he'd be throwing 6,000 years every year.

If that's true (and I highly doubt that it is), then Unitas would be throwing for 8,000. He was that good.

Did I mention the word, "Blowhard" earlier?:facepalm:
I gotta go with Otto Graham. According to wiki: Graham is regarded by critics as one of the most dominant players of his era, having taken the Browns to league championship games every year between 1946 and 1955, winning seven of them.
Although I hate to say i Brady still ranks the best.
  • Tom Brady (4.87)
  • Peyton Manning (3.57)
  • Joe Montana (3.32)
  • Brett Favre (2.64)
  • Otto Graham (2.58)
  • Johnny Unitas (2.30)
  • John Elway (2.24)
  • Terry Bradshaw (2.16)

I'll never argue numbers, but I know I'd take Unitas every day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Graham was great, yes.

Just one (blowhard's) opinion. :)

Uh, you're in the tootle thread. What makes you think not getting into clouds is odd? ;)
Because that's where everyone is at. That's all you see when you look a pvs to buy. That's because that's what people are buying.
Happy New Year, Bea (and all).

LOL! THIS saying never fails to CRACK ME UP.

And not that it matters, but here's how I would pick that group (in a pickup game).

Unitas
Marino
Favre
Graham
Elway
Brady
Manning
Montana

Bradshaw would be left standing on the sidelines (in MY game).

Value? Zip, nada & zilch.

Well I'm with you. I bet if I searched the most liked qb Unitas would be at the top.

Ummm, Brees should fall somewhere in the line ;)

Happy new year to the friends/family I chose... frightening either because I picked you, or you’re stuck with me... but I couldn’t be happier. Sending you wishes of health, happiness, and love. I appreciate y’all ;)

Unitas - Multiple Championships, Multiple MVP's, Retired with all Major Passing Records, and his preformance in the '58 and '59 Championship games lifted the profile of the NFL, ushering in weekly national television.
Manning - Multiple Championships, Multiple MVP's, Retired with all Major Passing Records.
Graham - Multiple Championships, Multiple MVP's. Icon of his era.
Brady - Multiple Championships, Multiple MVP's, Suspended for cheating.
Favre - One Championship, Multiple MVP's, Retired with all Major Passing Records.
Montana - Multiple Championships, Multiple Super Bowl MVP's.
Tarkenton - Retired with all Major Passing Records.
Marino - Retired with all Major Passing records.
Elway - Multiple Championships.
Brees - One Championship, a few Passing Records (so far)

Decide for yourself. I say Unitas.

Hands down.

My bias (and blowhardness) force me to point out that Marino, under a very different set of rules from today (and still a LOT more lenient than Unitas & Graham) was successful throwing even though everybody in the stadium knew he was throwing (because he NEVER had a ground game).

Not an easy task, and somewhat unique in the group of "Greats".
