Glad to see that the ole gang is still around.
I still wrap my own coils. Those A7 rda's are like a Timex.
Still wrap around 3mm Ekowool silica wicks no less.

At least a bunch of us are :)

Feel the same about my KF2Ls, as long as I can source spare o-rings, yup, keep on ticking.

But with rayon, I DO have to reiwick after a dry burn ;)

I still have quite a few boxes of CLRs, but....I'm pretty sure they're the 0.5ohm Ti, not the Ncr-0.5ohm. That $13.99/box price for the Ncr-0.5ohm at My Vapor Store is ridiculous, IMO.

Blister pack coil costs - and availability! - are why I wind my own, and yes, it does seem high.

But, when you want to keep using "antique" toppers, not much choice as their supplies go away for ever. If it's the only source, just have to bite the bullet. And, at least in this case, they are the rebuidlables, so good for a longer haul.

Since 2005, I've been playing a MMORPG called Urban Dead. One of my characters, a dedicated zombie, hangs around with a bunch of breathers in movie theaters, where we watch all kinds of stuff (i.e., people post links to YouTube videos). One of those harmanz (as we zombies like to call them [we have only a limited number of letters at our disposal for communication]) has taken to posting links to old cartoons, which have almost all been weird and great. Serendipitously, he posted the link to this Boop one recently, and I was very happy to have the chance to share it somewhere, since I loved it.

And there you have it.
Very sad news (for me): Urban Dead is shutting down for good on March 14. I'm going to miss it enormously. For the last ten or so years, I've only spent ten or so minutes a day playing, but they've been good minutes that have often made me smile. Losing that is going to hurt. Now more than ever.

It doesn't seem possible, but the day before yesterday, it was 2 years ago that Uncle passed away. I sure miss him on here and in real life.

I saw this was on my calendar and thought of you. It saddened me too. :(

In light of everything else, this seems somewhat inconsequential, but it was 10 years ago today that @Katdarling got inspired to start this thread.

I 'm not sure I expected it would last 10 days, much less years.

I raise this cup of coffee to all of you who've kept it breathing, including our old friend, Unc. Thanks for all the laughs and all the memories. <3

Not so long ago if I posted a little more than my usual 1 or 2 posts a week on ECF I would get a message saying I was on the most frequent poster list and would soon be in the Top Ten.

That hasn't happened for a while. Seems like ECF is getting busier again.

There definitely was no one else like Uncle, nor will there likely be later. We all know he was always a real "character" on here...making members smile or laugh, or going back and forth with them about some opposite opinions, etc. Even as his multiple health issues were becoming much worse and his daily life was drastically changing...ECF was the place (especially this thread) where he felt the most comfortable, even if it was mostly just reading several posts for a short while at a time. When he had a rare few minutes that he felt well enough to post...he could just be funny or snarky "Uncle" again...and felt connected to old friends. You all meant a lot to him! :thumb:
