Trolls and our emotional attachment to our decisions

I'm prolly a troll. I prolly don't play well with others. I don't know anybody that wants to be the misfit. Some of us are just stubborn or aren't very good at wording and unintentionally come across one way or another. I've always been a matter-of-fact person. I think growing up in a troubled home skewed my interactions towards being a smart-.... It's easier to make fun of frustrating situations that you know you can't change. I'm adverse to "backing down", quick to think I'm right and slow to realize maybe I'm not. But, I'm also a lot of fun and on occasion can be insightful. Tit-for-tat.

To be fair. The taste of juices good or bad varies tremendously from person to person. I tend to take juice reviews with a huge grain of salt.

Me too - now.

But I'm sure I would've come around to healthy skepticism a lot quicker if I'd been reading varied and realistic threads on XYZ Vender that contained both good and bad reviews, rather than these 400 page love fests endlessly repeating XYZ's mind-bending virtues.

I understand the social value of these threads for long-time vapers, but I think they really suck for newbies trying to shop intelligently.

I've been on this site for years but didn't join until recently. I have to say that many of the funniest/amusing/interesting threads I've read had a troll contributor or was probably created by a troll. ECF is a community and like all communities, you will have responsible members, trolls and everything in between. Sure it's safer when you don't feed a troll but sometimes a troll will get a rise out of you, sparking your passions and you can't do anything but feed it. I think it can be healthy to have that kind of discourse. We are all joined here together because of our passion for vaping. It's natural that it will give rise to trolling as well as troll-feeding. Of course there are limits, which is why we have our excellent moderators (although I hear they refer to themselves as overlords... but only in hushed tones to each other when no one is around).

In conclusion: Death to Provari!

So, further to spaceballsrules complaining about this thread having nothing to do with vaping and just being a chit-chat thread, I've had no recourse but to move it to the Lounge.

Enjoy the free coffee, beer, pool tables, big screen TV's and Dart boards. Rules*: No throwing darts at the TV or Fat Vader. That's not nice!
