If they're trolls, they are lazy trolls. . Most anything asked has been covered already. A simple search yields massive amounts of data. If they were really (big word coming up) nefarious D) they could easily find bad and good points, without having to start a thread. Even without registering.

"Needex-Smokers Veterans advice" is actually a person coming up the learning curve. Kenny's started several threads, normal stuff. Apparently he's now got an Inferno, several eliquids en route (he may have a sensitivity to something in the liquid he's using at the moment), trying to learn about cartos. I try to encourage people in getting over the hump of switching off cigs; with the options nowadays it can be tough for someone to settle in, find what works for them.

Vapers cover all cross-sections of life, I gather. I'd like to think all vapers are nice and polite, gentle in nature and wise in most respects. But that is simply not true. Just like all the rest of us, there are mean-spirited, snobbish, belitting, and straight up ignorant people (the scariest thing about ignorant people is that they're ignorant of being ignorant!) I even find myself slipping into these modes every once in a while. I try to fight it, though. I've come up with a practice... look at my post and try to understand my motivations for posting. If it's just to bite back at a person who doesn't agree with me, I tend to hit the X button. I know I've slipped up a few times in the past (I will no longer hate on VVN users, or tell everyone who has a question about VVN's to "use a carto tank".) I'm learning, too.

The point of this post is, as this forum grows bigger (and you know it most surely will), it will collect the inevitable trolls and pot-stirrers. Thankfully, this forum is moderated by some hardcore play-by-the-rules, no-nonsense moderators, and I like that. I think if a serious troll thread got started it'd get squashed fairly quickly.

I don't think ECF is as important as ECF staff and some of the users think it is. If somebody is trolling it's probably for their own amusement and not the paranoid realizations of those who spend too much time here.

I have seen forum users (not this forum) directly quoted in government reports in my own country, so I think you may have this wrong.

Government officials when they don't understand an issue well, tend to look to others for information. For vaping, ECF is one of those sources. Don't be surprised if ECF users end up being quoted somewhere official...

This is true. There was a forum not too long ago that had open discussion about synthetic substances meant to mimic illegal substances. The substances discussed were technically legal simply because they were new and not listed in current laws. The American government most definitely collected info from that forum and did in fact quote posts from that forum when they made an official report and got the ball rolling on bans.

You wont stop those people. Any conversation can be taken out of context. I hope FDA, American Heart and lung association. BT, BP, The lower than a snakes belly in a wagon wheel rut politicians, are checking us out . They will see a bunch of people sharing how they've over came a very tough addiction with the use of ecigs.
They will see a online community that spans all walks of life religion, geography. We have our little squabbles but at the end of the day its just a silly difference of opinion over whether this works better or that.
I think ecigs and ECF is a very very good thing! Look at all the people here for the most part doing good things. How many acts of random kindness happen in here on a daily basis's?
The Moderators do a top notch job! Unless its me getting a warning or an infraction then they are just being unreasonable;-)

I don't know about trolls and shills, but the DEA was certainly monitoring the forum I mentioned. This is the largest vaping forum, and I am sure someone out there has taken note of it.

I'm not a spelling or grammar nazi, but I had to laugh because when I read this, I thought, "Who here is arguing over the weather, for Pete's sake? It's either rainy or it isn't. Get a life!" It took me a few seconds to realize you meant whether and the sentence wasn't finished.

By the way, I know you think it's cold where you are, but I know better than you and I say it's not. So there.
