I absolutely cannot understand how these agencies haven't been able to figure out that there are two vaping industries, BT and us. They cannot be that far out of the loop.
Oh, I think they have figured it out and are totally in the loop.

I haven't watched yet, but here you go.

Well there you have it in a nutshell folks. They don't need any common sense, good science nor,
any resemblance to fairly listen to you,me or any industry association.
They have the chillin' and, that's all they need. As any parent like me whom has children
and or grandchildren I am sure you can sympathize with me when I say,"those kids are going
to be the death of me yet.".

What a joke. Is this guy someone who actually got voted into his position of narrow mindedness? What a pitiful day to be an American - listening to (probably not the only) a privileged member of our our "government" high up on his white horse prescribe his idea of whats best for me / us. Attempting to Eliminate my / our choices to reduce harm to ourselves.

What I don't get is the whole "protect the kids" thing. Last I checked YOU HAVE TO BE 18! Over 4,000 high school kids die from underage drinking per year, last I checked beer is regulated. Kids will ALWAYS smoke, and always drink there is no solution to fix that. In Ohio buying ecigs for minor is treated the same as buying a pack of Marlboros. There is one solution; a total ban. :danger: If my representatives and senators are against vaping I'm instally not voting for them. That's what we need to tell these representatives, because asking them isn't working. I know Sherrod Brown, John Kasich, Marcy Kaptur are not getting my vote if they're anti vaping.

Well, Nicotiana gossei leaves contain up to 1.1% nicotine compared to Nicotiana tabacum containing 2% to 8% so it would certainly be feasible to derive Nicotine from. With selective breeding it could probably rival tabacum. Problem is they would certainly redefine tobacco to include it if someone commercially produced it.

N. Rustica actually has the highest unmodified percentage at 9.

Straight from the horses mouth, literally. He said the E-cigarette industry should be put OUT OF BUSINESS. Not controlled, or encouraged, but put out of business. That is pretty clear to me.

Where did you see it posted?

I found this on reddit:

Email from the guy's congressman (unnamed) yesterday:

"In a related matter, I am pleased to inform you that I supported the Agriculture and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill for fiscal year 2016. In addition to providing funding for agricultural, food, and food safety programs, this legislation also contains provisions similar to that of H.R. 2058. Specifically, this bill would make the new grandfather date for newly deemed tobacco products under its proposed rule date on which the rule takes effect. Therefore, newly deemed tobacco products, such as e-cigarettes, that were brought to market before the date on which the final rule is issued would not be required to submit a pre-market tobacco product application.[4] Instead, these products would be permitted to stay on the market so long as manufacturers comply with regulations such as health warning labels or minimum age of purchase restrictions."

Excuse my ignorance, but why is that we are not able to see the proposal that OIRA is reviewing?

Why the redacted, second-hand documents? I thought this whole OIRA review process was supposed to be about "open government"?

Again, I'm not an expert in these matters, so I'm wide open to enlightenment....

Too much for me to read. I'll take your word for it that the study comes to that conclusion. Thanks.

I think this gives a good summary of the results:

Wt = U(Xt, Et, Ct; St) + !s "s • µt+s (Et+s-1, Ct+s-1, µt+s-1) • U(Xt+s, Et+s, Ct+s)

But we also have to consider the implications of the following:

[!Ut/!Ct + !s "s Ut+s•(!µt+s /!Ct)] [!Ut/!Et + !s "s Ut+s•(!µt+s /!Et)] = !Ut/!X.
