Good mornin' all, didnt arrive yesterday and didnt get to chase the mailman as I had to return to the hospital with my Dad. Its really rough time to be a non smoker(thank AG I have an Ego) but I'm glad I found this site and vaping as I dont want to end up like my Dad. I was going to offer up my starter kit on the PIF forum but then my brother smokes so I gave it to him. Thanks for listening to all the Babbling (sorry just wanted to get it out) Have a good day..Danny

Hey Riverwolf...sorry to hear about your Dad....I hope he is going to be ok.
I wish my family members were as interested in quitting analogs and trying vaping.
Pretty cool that your brother is at least gonna try.

On January 29, 2010, my Dad had a stroke while riding his motorcycle. He totalled the bike and suffered massive injuries, including brain trauma (he had on a helmet). He spent 3 months in a coma before he opened his eyes. Sadly he hasn't really gotten any better. He is catatonic and can't communicate with anyone. He is on a feeding tube, but no respirator. Basically trapped in his body. Not the way I would want to live. The only good thing about it, is that my older brother and sister found my name and address on his computer, and found out that I even existed. He had refused to tell his family about me. I now talk to my bro & sis at least once a week. I guess the moral of the story is that tragedy always has some good in it.

Enough of my bummer story...Time for coffee and Dulce de Leche vape.

That's an amazing story bro..imagine getting to know siblings after all that time...that has to be pretty intense.

As you say, at least some good came out of this.

:)

Man AG, I think we are brothers in a kindred spirit. My father's family knew nothing of me (him and my mother had an affair) until 3 years ago and finally one day I made a phone call to see how he was doing as I had lost touch with him and feared the worst. Needless to say that was an interesting conversation when his other son answered the phone. He is now 91 and in failing health but I have a whole new family that has accepted me into there lives. Funny how some things work out in life.

I will keep you and Riverwolf in my prayers.

Were all doing pretty good (acceptance I quess) my mom is having a hard time tho they been married 61 years. My hardest thing is watching a pillar of strength crumbling like a cookie.Brings me to tears and I dont cry much so it upsets everyone else around me.

Thanks guys...

Finding Bob (I call him Bob) when I was 30, and then basically not existing until I was 40, was pretty rough.
I travelled down many wrong paths during that time.
This past year has been all about finding out who I am & self-improvement.
Culminating with quitting the analogs, when I found vaping and this community.
I owe a lot to ECF & the good people here...it's been my therapy of sorts...I've been able to help others, while others help me.
Most importantly, I've learned how to treat others, even when they may not deserve to be treated well.
(It's really hard to be mad at someone, when they are lying in a bed, completely helpless.)
