As did I. Alas, I have such a low opinion of rationality ever prevailing in New York politics that I am pessimistic on this one. I think something genuinely crooked is afoul here and the shining beacon of truth will be unable to penetrate that.

Hope I'm proved wrong though!

last year essentially the same version of the bill flew thru the NY Assembly virtually unopposed before a Senate Committee killed it. Apparently some folks on that Senate Committee were slightly more rational forward thinking types. I hope they are still in office.
