I know how bad that sucks, I'm going through the same thing with my family. At first they were thrilled with me, so proud that I'm not smoking anymore. Now, all I here is, "so now you can work on giving that up!". It makes me want to scream..... Thirty five years I smoked two plus packs a day and instead of being supportive they are giving me a rash of $#%#% for doing something harmless that makes happy. Sometimes I simply don't understand people and why they just won't let others be....

Ok I too suffer from the none supportive spouse, I have been vaping about a month but today was the day I was going to drop analogs.... I finally got a mix I felt I can give it a run to drop analogs, smoked half an analog and vaped same time when I woke up to associate my pv with my morning cig, smoked 1 analog at work. So 1 1/2 cig in 12 hours sheesh that's great for me would have gone through a pack by then, then I get home and she wants to smoke I decline and vap with her while she smokes. Well after a couple more times of this she then proceeds to tell me that vaping should be done @ work and in places cigs are not allowed but in the comfort of our home (outside) I should be doing analogs in the same breath she proceeds to tell me she thinks my nic intake is to high because I can vap "when ever"......... Needless to say like a weak minded man I am I caved had 2 analogs with her before she went to bed, but I am :vapor: my .... off as we speak lol So sorry no advice from me as I have my own  in my closet :glare:

on a diff note.
I have bought her a 510 kit, she loves the strawberry cheese cake vap but does not seem to vap it at all. Maybe its because I don't have it set up and hidden for her I dunno......

My bf is a non-smoker and he is not happy that I haven't just "quit completely" and that I am spending $$$ on e-cigs. He also constantly complains about the smell and doesn't want me to use my e-cig in my own apartment (which he doesn't live in). I can use the least smelliest juice and he will still complain.

I will admit that the Java Mint that I recently am vaping may not smell the best, but he hasn't been around to sniff that yet lol. But I really don't think my juices are typically stinky ones. Vanilla...chocolate...mint....no matter what it is, he complains. Other people say they smell nice..

Wow- Having read this thread, I'm just going to go buy something nice for my wife? Any suggestions? She doesn't smoke, or vape, but reading this I was just thinking about how much she rocks. Never hassled me about smoking. Wasn't too enthused about vaping in the beginning, but as we learned about it, she's become a fan. (Just got me a mod for my b-day.)

OP- I think with your fiance, you're dealing with a lot of denial and projection. You've quit the cigs. She can't (yet). She feels bad about that (which is normal). It's hard to deal with feeling bad, so...what if she's right, and you're wrong? By finding fault with your vaping, she makes herself "less wrong" for continuing to smoke. It's all totally normal, but a pain in the ..... Not much you can do, though I agree with others who suggested leaving vaping gear around where she may try it while you're out. Don't be obvious, though. Be patient, and SUBTLE. And be patient with the situation, too. New stuff takes time to get used to. Once you vaping is not so new, it probably will stop provoking fights.

To the woman whose BF doesn't like the smell, and doesn't want her to do it in HER HOUSE:

You've got yourself a grade A controlling jerk on your hands. Doesn't like the SMELL? Jesus. There's not much smell. People use perfume. People use soap. People fart. Does he think he has the right to control these, in your home??

Seriously- this sounds less about vaping, more about guys who like to control. Personally, I'd blow vape in his face.

Best of luck to all,
Ande

My wife was like that and I told her to ..... I got the silient treatment for like a week. It was a pleasant week.
OK, I must admit I laughed at the last line, especially looking at your avatar hehe... It must have been a joke though! However... my husband would never ever dream of saying such a thing to me, or me to him. Mutual respect all around is the answer to a happy relationship IMO.
Just saying.

Sister that is NOT cool. In your own place you can do what you damn well like! as for smelly juice? Are you serious? there is smelly juice? Are you vaping crab juice? Is he offended by toilet spray after a poo? Sorry but he sounds like a toss pot and you can do way better than that. I wish you luck with him in the future... and if any of my responce offends I apologise in advance but that is just my opinion which you may ignore. Congrats for giving up the cigarettes and you do whatever it takes to keep yourself healthy in your own environment. xoxo
