Pleasantly surprised with the Crown .5 coil. I switching back and forth using it with temperature control on my Opus 200. Both TC and without, I am surprised the .5 takes so much power with ease.

Again, have to mention how great the top fill and the quality is on the Crown. Really impressed and went ahead and ordered 3 packs of replacement coils.

Tempted to buy a TFV4 and try it out, but after my Starre Pro leaked (yes the dang on/off valve was in the proper position) I want to avoid anything that is known to leak until it gets fixed. All these tanks burn through juice so quickly that I don't need it pouring out the air inlets too.
I thought TC only worked with Ni or Titanium. How can the TC kick in with a SS coil?

I can upload custom TCR curves for different coil wires/materials. If you go to Steam Engine (TCR | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators it shows you the different wires that TCR curves are already available for. I just download the excel file, upload it to Escribe, and then upload it to the DNA200 and then temperature control works with the stainless steel coils.

One of the main reasons I bought the Crown because I wanted to try something other than nickel or titanium.

I spent the last week or so really comparing the Starre Pro and Crown. I love the Starre Pro, and have not had any problems with mine, but after an extended side by side comparison, I have to give the edge to the Crown for flavor and ease of use. I just went to Vaperoyalty to order a second Crown and I see this! Can't wait!

I'm very new to TC barely trying it, but if you vape a standard Crown .25 at 50 watts, or 40 as many DNA mods are these days it is pretty much as cool as a vape as it gets and still creates great clouds. I realize it takes just a moment to get the coil warmed up, but its just a second or two.

I guess this is why I struggle with TC. I see a need for it a year ago because everyone was experiencing new things with these big clouds & with coils that lent themselves to dry hits (I think of a little Kanger 1.2 Pro coil), but you can chain vape these these newer coils at 100 watts and not get a dry hit (TFV4 even @ 130) so 70-80 watts on coils like this would probably be regarded as pretty darn cool by most the public and a lung FULL of vapor. It's like the old saying "there's more than one way to skin a cat" .. and to achieve a no dry hit cool vape experience.

Back more on topic of TC and this SS coil, I get confused with my Sig 75 because I can have it in temp mode and take off a Ni Arctic coil and pop on a Crown and it just keeps on going and I see no real difference. Because the Sig 75 is not really capable of making a Crown coil vape warm maxed out I'm confused to whats even happening LOL. All I know is it's acceptable when my Sig 150 is too big to carry around.

Excuse my noobness regarding TC. I'm more of a heat seeker 100 watt kind of dude. Everything I said above is the best way I know to articulate it.

Well I've had mine for a week now and I love it. Although, apparently the ohms jumping thing is a known issue for which there is no certain fix, if I am understanding correctly? Mine don't do it enough to concern me as it doesn't seem to affect the vape. Everyone I know that's got one has the same issue. Just with the SS coils tho. I threw in the 1.2 coil tonight. Had it up to 100 watts! But the sweet spot for me, on the 1.2 seems to be about 55 watts. Flavor is still good but definitely not as good as the .25. I will probably try the .5 once the 1.2 dies.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. I ordered it Tuesday night off of eBay. It came with a .25 dual coil in it, and a spare .25 and .5. I've went thru about a full tank so far. I started with a delta 2, then I had an Atlantis, then I had the herakles v2. The crown has them all beat by a very wide margin. The clouds are a lot like the herakles, but the vape is so much cooler. The herakles did seem to have a little bit of an edge flavor wise, but the crown still tastes great. But I hate the heat of the herakles, so I'll gladly sacrifice a lil flavor for a more pleasurable experience. Overall, I'm highly impressed with the crown, and I highly recommend it. Philthememman on eBay is who I got mine from. Mainly because they were the only one I found that had 2 .25 and a .5 coil as opposed to a .25/.5/ and a .15 tc coil. Its definitely as good as they claim. And as far as ohms jumping, mine goes from a .2-.3. So no real big problem for me. I love this thing. Btw, it was $30 shipped and got here in 4 days

Welcome jonjon and congrats on your purchase! Yeah, with the ohms that's pretty much what mine does, voltage and flavor are constant so I don't really worry about it either. I agree that it's as good as they claim, it became my favorite tank after a few 90 watt pulls on that .25!

Starting to get annoyed with my SW 200 using the Crown - thinks it is in temp mode with the SS. So, looking for advice from fellow Crown users.

Let me know - what device are you using with your Crown, and what with what coil (.25 SS, .50 SS, .15 Ni)? And, are there any cons you have found with using the two together?

. Mines a sigelei 150 with the .25ss dual coil. But what would it hurt to run the ss on temp control?
