@turp - ditto on your pain. Actually, heads built by a third party was one of my major concerns before I purchased. It's been like two years since I tried this. I'm of the Professor Mr.Mann school of thought in that I want to build and wick my own. Then If it fails I have no one to blame but myself and more importantly I can fix it.

I might be grasping at straws for you but:

Remove the head and push the 510 pin out a little from the base. Then install the head and push the 510 pin back in. I use a small flathead screw driver and the tolerances that I see are different when comparing my SS to my Black.

What happens when you dribble juice on each of the four wicking holes of your head? I'm grasping for you but looks can sometimes fool all of us.

Good luck!

Got my Delrin tip in! Wow, next day delivery. Gotta love that. The total inner bore is a little larger than stock tip is, but not overly so. fit is nice and tight, heck I was worried at first that it wouldnt fit. It may be istting a touch high right now... Im gonna get out my calipers in a bit and do a bit of measuring. May end up taking off a bit of the bottom of it so it sits fluch on the top of my crown. So far, after 30 mins of use I really like it. No extra gurgling from the tank, and no bad side effects. So far I think I really like this tip. So much so I may order a couple of the other ones they offer and try them out as well.

Now on the the mandatory pic of it so I dont get banned....

Code 3 vapor has them for 11.99 with free shipping, You just missed the sale they had for $7. I received mine very fast. I ordered a few packs from E-cig.com too. I am not sure whats going on there but it was nice while it lasted their prices jumped up and their shipping went from $25 min to $75 min. still have some good deals but I don't like places that play games like that so I dont think I will order from them unless they have a great deal.

Nice, yeah it needs lowering and I'm glad you posted a pic !!! We love pics !! I have found it doesn't matter so much if the bottom bore is a little bigger, it's when it's smaller, over time it ends up gurgling, as I found out using my tfv4 tip on it, I pulled it off and there was a big collection of juice there..
The bottom bore hole, just for ref is 6mm, I thought it was bigger but it's not, its just that big wide open top that makes it look like it is. I have ordered some stainless steel and glass ones, they are 5.8mm bore, pretty close, one in sliver and one in black, I will find one that works perfect I tell you lol

Yea, its from Cherry Vapes. With the stock tip I had a slight gurgling sound, not really gurgling in the flooded coil sense, just the way the airflow went. With this one it is mostly gone. really like it so far. Ill get a pic with the tip lowered in the topcap later. It looks better now that it sits flush.

Here's my final thoughts on the Crown tank. The drip tip and length of the drip tip could be molded more to the average comfortable mouth position. As we all know certain atomizers have a 'good feel' when put into the mouth for a pleasing vape. That said, the robustness of the d-series steel may induce a higher expense to the machining to make a 'mouth ergonomic' fitting. The tank has served me well for a few weeks. One thing I find is that the airflow is okay, depending on the liquid and power settings. Originally I had figured the airflow was too restrictive, but other manufacturers build similar systems with the quad airflow on the coil bottom. The tank uses juice fairly quickly as well, but with certain flavors you're going to get more flavorization with the tank compared to drippers. Compared to drippers as well this gives much more of a pure nicotine hit compared to drippers where you get the hot lung hit. The Crown seems to give a balance between hot hits, TC options and then a RDA section if you want. Seems pretty versatile. The nickel coils in this unit are good for TC if you want it, but I'm finding the regular steel alloy coilheads are sufficient for a quick vape, medium lung hit still with some flavor. Right now tanking the 5 Pawns Gambit in 18mg. Wish the drip tip was mouth mouth 'purchase' friendly but overall this is a good tank. Still don't like how the tank section is wedged between the glass. Unscrewing the top to put more fluid inside could be easier. One way to bypass this is to just wait until the fluid level is at the peak of the coil head and then re-fill since there is the possibility of unscrewing the tank by accident. The smok swivels which to me seems superior, but who knows about leakage or pocket disruption is carrying inside of pants with the smok, possibly upside down or on a couch. I typically vape to get my fill and then kick back on the couch slouching reading posts or websites with my smartphone. The smok tfv4 might unswivel if in pajamas pocket so possibly the positive seal on the Crown is superior for a closed non-leaking tank. Just my 2 cents. Enjoy.

Hey guys - Crown user checking in!
What a great tank, I actually have 5 of them and love them.

Just a quick note on the coils.
I'm a flavor junkie and change my could out often. Probably every 60 ml or possibly about 7-9 days. My last 2 coils which where the .25s only lasted me a tank and a half before I would get a burnt hit.
Very annoying but some people are having issues and I'm wondering if some of these coils are bunk...

Odd but I'll change coils and keep vaping away
