What I really like about this holiday season in particular is that Ray has a contest going so I can see all my buds posting everyday!

1) Waited in line over 30 minutes to buy a laptop yesterday. It was a good deal, but I could have gone a week ago and waited 5 minutes, for the same price too.

Saturday #1

I hate the materialism of it all! I think of Thanksgiving as a time to give thanks and spend quality time with friends and family, not as a time to leave and line up waiting for stores to open so that you can push someone aside to get that great deal!

3. I also dislike fruit cake and hate getting it as a present. I believe people that give me fruitcake secretly hate me and I would rather have no present. rofl

I looked up the recipe....... and remember vaguely my aunt making this...with the lil green thingies in it. I also remember her making something called mincemeat pies but I do not remember what they tasted like.

1-- Thanksgiving is a time for family.. BEing I really love my girlfriends MOM and her BRothers it's great! Being that I can't stand her father and aunt who DO NOTHING to help annoys me..
I'm not religious.. I was raised a Catholic and have pretty much lived a Catholic life without GOD.. My girlfriend is absolutely religious and I love her more for her faith then people can imagine.. My point being is Before Thanksgiving dinner begins GRACE needs to be said! I firmly believe with or without GOD one should be thankful for the things they have because LIFE isn't easy. We bust our arsses to attain all the things we want.. When her Father and Aunt were already eating most of the thanksgiving dinner before anyone had a chance to even sit down I ALMOST flipped my lid the other day.. THey come over and DO nothing, Don't work, and not even a single dish,... I'm greatful I have more patience then I used to...
SOrry bout that rant But seriously I can keep going.. AND Eventually will...

There are very few radio stations where I live, so I hate it that more than half of them switch to Christmas music. Ummm...let's see...It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas or Smoke on the water?

Call me a Grinch all you want, but I pretty much hate the holidays. The pressure to perform good deeds (which you should be doing all year long), get the "perfect" gift for everyone, spend lots of money that you don't have to spend, and just generally be cheerful.

The pressure of it all leads to more stress and anxiety than a full bottle of Xanax can handle.

Bah humbug.
