I received my SS Berserker from Origin Vape today, and built it tonight. Fit and finish are very nice, and I think it's a good looking tank. I'm still waiting on VaporL to deliver the Berserker I originally ordered at the end of July. Strange how a company in the USA has received and sold 2 shipments of these, and a company in China has been unable to deliver.....If I don't receive a shipping notification this week I will be requesting a refund.

I wrapped a simple, spaced 26ga kanthal coil, using 5 wraps at 3mm ID for 0.76Ω and have been vaping it with airflow at it's widest setting around 22 Watts. Attaching the coil was no big deal. Reminds me of the Kanger subtank mini. I'm using the tank with the larger glass section. I bottom filled it after building it, so I haven't tried top filling yet. We'll see how that goes when I top it off to go to work in the morning. I seem to have got the wicking right, because it's keeping up with my vaping with no signs of a dry hit or leaking.

I am enjoying the tank, but IMO, I think they missed some potential by not going with 2mm air flow under the coil. I think 2mm is still small enough to deliver a good MTL vape with the ability to tighten it up with the AFC.

I think the Berserker is a great MTL tank, but surprised with testing, they didn't notice the problem with gurgling/leaking when refilling, I think some people will be put off and not buy it.

I've had mine a few days now, and have top filled and bottom filled, and most times when top fill, only get a little bit if a gurgle and after a few vapes it goes, but also had it once when it actually did leak a little juice out of the airflow hole. Using bottom fill there is no problem, and as said before, can actually get more juice in when bottom filling, but is course more work to bottom fill though.

Even though I think the airflow is fine, seems common that people are saying it is to tight, so think they should of done a 2mm hole.

Think if they had done juice control and a 2mm air hole, it really would of been a winner.

Gurgling and leaking are 2 different things. Has anyone actually had juice leaking from the airflow holes? I'm fairly certain you can minimise the gurgling with good wicking. It should be here in a few days so I'll post my own experience.
Gurgling is the stage just before leaking...

Plenty of atomisers gurgle because of small flaw in the design of the chamber/bell cap, bad o-rings or both, when refilling. However, they will not leak, which implies that they don't have a fundamental problem with negative pressure. Have plenty of examples and experience with both.

If I get any gurgling with any of my tanks I fix it so it does not happen again. If left uncorrected you can get a leak.

Mine is now 2mm. I used to drill out the old kayfuns also. I don't know why they supplied the coils they did with this tank; it gets way too hot. Time to go old school with some simple round wire. So far I'll rank this tank below my 22mm Siren and Kayfun 5.

Funny how we're all looking for something slightly (or a lot) different with our various tastes. A 2mm air hole would be too large far me. And the Siren ranks last in my favourite MTL tanks. Agree with ya on the wire, though...a simple round wire build has always been my goto for MTL. Anything more complex ruins it for me.

I tried complex also and always went back to 28g round for the best flavor...

It sure beats the heck out of regular, menthol, full, medium or light, don't it thought?

A truly marvelous time to be doing a truly marvelous thing. These days I will remember, fondly & always.

I'll be drilling mine this weekend. Otherwise, I know I'll end up shelving it and going back to my Merlins.

I think it's a mistake on the part of Vandy Vape to have not had 2mm air flow available. Seriously, who's going to use the smallest setting on this tank? You'd give yourself a migraine trying to pull through that.

I have been a MTL vaper for 4 years now. I do not like unrestricted airflow, but 2mm would have let the tank appeal to a larger audience, with plenty of room for restriction via the AFC.

On side note, I haven't tried to disassemble the base yet. Does the AFC ring come off easily? Or did you have to drill through it?

I just drilled through it and the hole at the same time.

Up and vapin' with the Berserker.

Simple round wire build: 2.5mm ID, 28g Kanthal, 1.8 ohms. Left it "stock" with the ultem tank and its 2ml capacity.

Easy to build on and wick. Quality seems fine with good threading. I was getting a short that I couldn't figure out, but seems fine now. 'course the only mod I have that fits the tank is the Smok AL85. So, I'll blame it on the mod...never really cared for it. Looking at running out to get Pico 25 later. The original Pico is still my all-day mod.

Running it a 9 watts, for now, which is within my usual range. Airflow down to the second smallest hole which is a great draw for me. Smooth airflow. No gurgling or leaking (yet). Flavour? Can't tell the difference between this and the SXK Doggystyle that I've been using constantly for the last few weeks. So, no complaints there.

After a few refills, the true story will be told. Got this hoping for a top-fill tank that just works without issue, so the final verdict will need to wait. Initial impressions, however, are very, very good.

First refill (yep, I'll be switching capacities). Closed off the airflow like I always do, filled it to the absolute top, screwed the top cap on, opened the airflow, and...no flooding, no gurgling.

    Off to a good start....
Got a pic of your build? Would like to see how much wick you use.

Nope. Never took one. Best I can say is: it's a 2.5mm build, and I always like my cotton pretty tight in the coil. With that, had enough to fill the juice wells with cotton, but not filled too tightly.
