Make that a third. Received mine yesterday. Using my standard 8 wrap 26 ga spaced 3 mm coil (1 ohm) at 14-16.5 watts.

Since I dropped the glass after washing, have filled multiple times. Closed the airflow and top filled. No gurgling.

Now need to find glass or order more (or both).

...Seriously, who's going to use the smallest setting on this tank? You'd give yourself a migraine trying to pull through that....

Haha. Well, I'm using the smallest setting right now. Flipping between that and the second smallest. Both are great draws for me and what I've always looked for in a MTL since I started. Not directed at you, but I sometimes think people forget how tight a draw a cigarette really is. Vandy vape nailed it. For me, anyway. ;)

How far down do you have to drill on the center pin? Is the entire center pin the same internal diameter all the way down, or do you just have to widen it up where the coil is?

came down through the top to widen the hole...you don't have to go too far to open her up.

One thing I've noticed with the airflow/AFC ring: You can't really shut the airflow completely off after all. There's a "micro gap" between the ring and the base, so the air will seep through regardless. The design of the AFC ring leads you to believe you can really dial in the airflow (1/2 air hole, 1/4 air hole etc), but in reality...No. Not a big deal, but a flaw nonetheless.

I'm sure you're right. It's been a little over 4 years for me now. And even though I've always vaped MTL, over time, my vaping habit has changed. I will say this, I've spent a couple more days with it now, and I find myself enjoying it a little more each day. Although, I'm still using it at it's largest setting.....

I finally received notification from VaporL that my original Berseker order has shipped. I may wait to drill it until the other arrives in case I change my mind. :)

Does anyone have the Nautilus 2 or Mini to compare the airflow to the Berserker at it's widest airflow. Seems like a few people here are complaining how tight it is.. just wondering how tight it is.
If it's like the N Mini on the largest or the N2 with 3 holes open I can deal with that.

Compared these yesterday for someone elsewhere (I own both the Mini and 2). The Berserker wide open has about 1.5x the airflow of the mini wide open. Closed down all the way, the Berserker is tighter.

Compared to the Nautilus 2 wide open, I'd say they are pretty similar with the Berserker maybe having a little more.

'course, nothing scientific on my part...just a rough feel based on a few pulls on all yesterday.

Perfect then. I don’t see that being too tight at all. That’s a Mtl tank.

What's the flavor like with thicker liquids (70VG) on this tank ? DJLsb Vapes said in his review that this tank doesn't wick well with thicker liquids and should be used with 50/50 or 60/40 ratio liquids.

Yeah. I watched that video today. I have no idea where he got that from, but he's wrong. 70/30 in mine and wicks/tastes like it should.

EDIT: I don't recall his build/wattage. But, it is possible he was vaping at fairly high power and chaining. In that case, I could see the possibility of wicking not keeping up.

Also, keep in mind those of us who don't have the option to do 50-50 liquid find ways to make things work somehow... We have to. I've never had a dry hit on my Nautilus 2 or with any of the BVC coils, (well, except a priming puff where my Steampunk decided to go from 7 watts (lowest setting around to 120 watts-- the highest, that sucked). I just adjust how I wick liquid up into the wick... I bet it's totally possible to get that Beserker working with 100% VG with a little H20 added. Maybe it's not ideal, but I'm certain it's workable.... Never had issues other than coils lasting less long, that's all... To be expected, but I've always had a functional vape....
