Hey guys and gals...

I thought it would be fun to get a thread going that identifies vape-friendly businesses in your "neck-a-da-woods"... Conversely, please post if you know places that are decidedly NOT vape-friendly.

My apologies if this has been done. Haven't seen it.

I'll start: I have no "Friendlies" yet... But in Southern California DO NOT vape at the Outback Steak House!

The Tiki Bar/restaurant in Ft Pierce FL vape friendly. Was there just this last Friday. They had an idea of what it was :)
Gallucio's restaurant and bar in North Wilmington DE. Totally ok to vape there. Will be going back there in October and can't wait to see everyone again. That was our old hangout when we lived in the Philly area. Well worth the 1/2 hour + drive every other Friday. :D

Nice to know, if I'm ever out that way... Thanks for contributing!
The restaurant that I mentioned... I asked the manager if it was acceptable that I vape there, and he just flat said No. I explained my Vamo to him and he knew what it was. He wasn't having it though. He was nice about it, I'll give him credit for that :)

I imagine there is going to to be a LOT of prejudice against vaping at a lot of establishments.

1) It is rather new, and many people fear what they don't know.

2) Many are probably afraid it is too much like smoking.....so if they have a ban on smoking, they likely wont want vaping

3) The corporations conspiring against vaping are active in getting negative press out to the public....as long as this anti-vape campaign continues, itll be difficult to find business owners to support it

Of course, you will have always have good, honest, intelligent people in the world who we see past the propaganda, and open vaping with open arms :)

I agree on all points. Very well stated. My wife seems to be of the opinion that the larger chains will frown upon vaping, and the smaller family, or local-owned, companies will welcome it. Hopefully more people will contribute and we can test her theory.

I know somebody listed these somewhere before, but if anybody visits Denver and decides to go gambling in Black Hawk / Central City these are the places I went to last weekend. Every one of them said "Yes" when I asked if they allowed e-cigs:

Black Hawk: Golden Mardi-Gras (includes Golden Gulch and Golden Gates casinos), Ameristar
Central City: Johnny Z's, Century Casino

Those are the ones I know *for sure*. I had also previously vaped (without asking) in Fitzgerald's Black Hawk and Reserve Central City; and wasn't questioned. I will ask next time I go to those to be sure.

The only place that matters for me, almost the only place I eat out - Perkins, is 100% vape friendly. They endorse it and even encourage it. Their business went down considerably after they had to go non-smoking (to the point of almost going out of business) so now they're trying to get the vape community to back them too.

The ONLY place I've ever been told not to vape (and I vaped in there on multiple occasions before that, it's just we officially ASKED about it one time and got told no, so now we don't go there anymore) is Red Lobster.

Every place I have ever been in except one hole in the wall was vape friendly. That includes Buffalo Wild Wings, Black Angus and I did vape in Olive Garden but was stealthy.

The one place that asked me to stop said "You can't smoke in here!" and when I explained it they just couldn't grasp the concept at all. It may have been a language barrier, but I doubt it. So I stealthed and told them I had it turned to the "no vapor" setting. I promised them no more vapor would come out of it. I showed them the "no vapor" demonstration, and they chilled out a little. There were exactly 5 customers (and the 3 that weren't with me were about 20 feet away) and 4 employees there, so it wasn't as if it was packed and no one was sitting with me except my friend whom I was showing it to. Too bad really, they are brand new and need the business.

The Old Chicago pizza & steak joint in Topeka, Kansas doesn't seem to mind vaping a bit. As might be expected Kansas casinos welcome it as well. It's possible that states with relatively recent wide ranging smoking bans might prove to be a net benefit for vapers. States with commercial smoking bans of many years standing are rather more knotty situations.

You can now take Perkins off the list vape friendly establishments.. I was informed by my general manager today that the president of the company, during his visit yesterday, said e-cig use is no longer allowed in the building.

Feel free to let them know how you feel about that https://www.facebook.com/eatatperkins
