Sure thing. Here it is. On IE, the first press of TAB would goto the Show your signature check box, second press goes to where my crudely drawn arrow points. :p

Interesting. I am really surprised that TAB and ALT-TAB or whatever the heck that is on Mac doesn't work to get around on Chrome. Maybe it's a setting I need to change.

Oh, and no, I don't use chrome. Dolphin on my Droids, opera on my PC. :) (I find chrome buggy, laggy and bloated)

A Verizon tech support chick told me to use Firefox.

I had spent 20 minutes on the phone with her to find out why Gmail clicks crashed the phone. We figured out that the stock browser was broken, and the only way to fix it was to reset. NOT.

I installed Firefox, it works fine. I had Dolphin on my G1 - what's the difference between Dolphin and Firefox on an Android phone?

A bootloader starts the manufacturer loaded operating system at the initiation of your device. Rooting your phone is basically "unlocking" your bootloader, and allows you to flash roms.

Overclocking allows your processor to perform more operations per cycle, resulting in faster performance and reduced wait times. It can cause overheating and ultimately wreck your device.. Not for novices!

It's really personal preference as far as the features and plugins go. I personally like Dolphin and Chrome, though the stock browser on JellyBean is pretty solid. If you like Firefox, no reason to switch.

To be honest I use opera mini on my phone for most operations...only because its faster...I forego chrome on Android at the moment as it gets buggy when it loads flash...xScope was my favorite for awhile....but for all around performance I'd have to say dolphin is best on Android at the moment...I still however prefer curtin on Linux/windows

Firefox is basically a multi platform browser. Dolphin is made for Android. I rate Firefox at about the same level as IE, it's bloated and slow on Android (and PC, where it, like every other browser, steals ideas from opera).

I'm a customization freak, so opera on the PC is a natural choice. On Android, you have to consider limited system resources and function...it's all about the most bang for the buck, as it were.

To each their own of course, the devices I use, how I use them and what I use them for won't be identical to anyone else, so it's up to you what you toss on your Droid... Which is what makes Android do great...options :)

Hillgiant: remember on Android 2.3.5-6 you could go to settings> about device and start tapping the version #? Zombie art!

The ICS Easter egg is cute, but kinda cliche. Haven't seen the jellybean Easter egg yet.

I sure do! Here's the JellyBean one. It reminds me of Stewie Griffin:

Okay I gotta stop you about Firefox stealing ideas. Do you remember when Netscape went public? My son was one of the kids that got to compile the code. Netscape went one way, crapping out with AOL, etc. The original guys that developed Netscape went on to found Mozilla. Firefox is Mozilla, the oldest commercial browser around.

That being said, I don't use Firefox on my Mac because Chrome is faster. What I was asking about is Firefox for Android. I just started using it a few days ago when my phone's built in browser died. So far I see it has tabbed browsing, but I really don't need that for my phone. All I care about is being able to use voice command for search, and that is part of Swype's keyboard anyways. Is Dolphin faster than Firefox on Android?

I have found that Dolphin performs better and is faster than Firefox, personally.

I'd just keep the unlimited data plan then buy an almost new CDMA phone elsewhere for $50, like on Craigslist. 3G is not that much different than 4G on my Droid Charge. They're both great.

The unlimited plan is locked to one phone for $30/M. My wife has to pay $9.95 for the low end plan. I forget how much she gets for that price. So, we are paying $40 now and would pay $50 for 1 gig or $60 for 2 gigs and that's shared among all phones. Actually, it comes to about the same money per month to renew and get discounted new phones.

So if you root your phone, do you have to be constantly on top of things?

This was on my daughter's boyfriend's Facebook status:

"New Phone!!!!!! And within 1 hour of owning i flashed that ..... and customed rom'd it up.. cm10 + ubuntu + eclipse c++? i think yes!"

constantly no, rooting really isn't that big of an operation, too many people confuse it with the iCult equivalent of jailbreaking.....rooting is, imho, totally different....

a brief explanation: linux is the OS and kernel that android is based off of, and both OS's are open source...meaning you are free to do with the OS as you wish, you can distribute it freely, you can modify it at will....there are no "rules and limitations" as set fourth by apple in iOS, there are absolutely no parameters that need to be followed....

all that being said, having root access just means you have access to protected files and total control of the OS from a kernel level, its not much different from having administrator rights on your windows pc or mac, it was derived as rooting because in linux, the root (or /) is where all commands begin.

much like administrative rights, android grands you superuser rights after you have achieved root access, giving you TOTAL CONTROL over your device, up to and including the ability to modify your radio, your bootloader, your whitelist/blacklist, and of course, the operating system itself.....

under super user, you'll find there are a number of things your device is capable of that you would not have thought before having it, even more than a jailbroken iPhone, and my familiarity with linux just cements my opinion that android is simply the best mobile OS on the planet at the moment.

lawls... So it seems sprint is resending out the epic touch ice cream sandwich update with no changes made, EVEN Though it was pulled due to complaints... Since I'm back to stock temporally I am sort of tempted to use their update.. If it sucks I'll go with cm10 and try that out.. I'm just sick of having to downgrade back to el29 to upgrade back to ICS each and every time.... Hopefully once 4.x is finally out there will be no more el29 downgrades and I can just install thru clockwork mod..

elmattias YOU SMOKED ALOT!! Wow..

Dolphin Browser HD?

Yup, that's the one :)

This is exactly why I will only buy nexus devices going forward. I don't have to rely on developers. I had JellyBean on my phone they day it was passed out on devices given to Google I/O attendees. I'm sure JellyBean will be hacked together for the Evo soon enough, though. It's got solid dev support.

You don't have to, no. I used to be what they call a "crack flasher", changing my firmware almost every day for the newest features. I don't have the time or desire to do that anymore.

Also, I notice a lot of people talking about XDA, but no mention of Rootzwiki.com It's not as big a community, but the people there are much friendlier and far more helpful, in my experience. XDA is full of pretentious asshats having **** measuring contests. I've lost patience for that type of behavior.
