usually back to school sales go in effect like....around now...next big sale for cell phones is going to be holiday time....cell phone companies have three major sales per year on average: spring, back to school, and holiday time....like clockwork...best thing to do is sign the contract during one of these times so your upgrade comes at a time when the new sales/devices come in

After they went off sale at Verizon, Walmart had the Razr for $97 after that. I haven't looked lately, but it's probably gone, too. I was waiting for the family share plan to go into effect before signing again. When the FSP went up, the deals went down. I'm good with my HTC Eris, but it topped out at Android 2.1 and the current revision level of Ice Cream Sandwich is 4.0.1 from what I've seen. Jelly Bean about to be released and it's supposed to fix the jerkiness in scrolling and make Android as smooth as Apple IOS.

The longer I wait, the better it gets. My Eris is just crashing too much on web pages. I don't think my 2 year old android build is up to the new tricks. It frequently crashes to the desktop and then works when I relaunch the stock browser.

Dave if they were on sale a month ago if you call or go in they might still give you the deal.

I'm not so sure. My friend's phone died recently and he went in to the local Verizon store to see what he could get. He ended up working a free deal on a used Android phone (with a nice display). There were no deals on new ones that he liked and he gently intimidated the manager into giving him a free used HTC Android.

He rode up on a Harley in leathers and a doo rag. He's about 6'1 300 pounds, picks up transmissions without a transmission jack and throws them into cars on a rack (he's a mechanic). For some reason, he usually gets his way without a lot of backtalk. :) Maybe I should take him with me when I go in to deal.

Hey hey.. my epic tough finally received the ota 4.0.4 update and o figured wth I'd try it again. 3 days in and I've been roaming all day. What its coming down to is next month I might just pay the ridiculous ETF of 300$ and either go back to at&t or Verizon.
Anyway a week into having my 7 and right before my portenzo case came I dropped it. Nice little ding on the top left corner but luckily it still works.
On to vaping I've got about 12 bottles coming from ave and pennys and not soon enough as I hate all my remaining blue mist bottles. Ce3s have gone turned on me as have dct so I'm back to my original ego c system so I don't revert back to smoking.
Been a huge struggle this week.

Tapatalk been sucking also! Wouldn't let me edit the post. :)
So yeah loving the battery on the 7.. Lasts anywhere between 10-20 hours depending on brightness and if I game. Usually don't.
Final fantasy 1 is basically all I play and reading a ton of books with moon reader is perfect.
Loving the portenzo case also. Almost wish I would of wasted money on the more expensive models since the cheapest is fantastic.
Oh and finally sold my second touchpad to another unsuspecting nooB :)

aldiko is a pretty sweet reader as well, you can sync it with books in your google drive and have cloud reading!

10-20 hours battery life! WOW! I loved the old Final Fantasy games, not sure which one is I. Was that for the regular Nintendo? I liked two of them, I think 2 and 4, for SuperNintendo :)

Yeah Nintendo. I've loved every single FF Except 7,11,12,13. Personally american #3(snes)and 9(ps1) were the best.
50 hours into 13 but prolly won't ever finish.
Never played 2.

american #3 was japan #6, and also what i refer to as 6 as it is the proper numerical order in the series, plus it was rereleased in the us under the branding of ff6 on ps1 and GBA, you'd recognize it from the esper system and the main character terra most likely.....as for your other non-enjoys, i personally adored ff12, only because of the MMO-like mechanics (i'm an avid MMO gamer) and 11, being an MMO, was enjoyable during its mainstay, 7 was also enjoyable for me, but i'm just not as fanatical over it like some of the other titles in the series, as for 13, it was garbage....absolute garbage.

How about Secret of Mana or Bahamut Lagoon? I just LOVED those Squaresoft games!

SoM was ok....chrono trigger was far superior in terms of squaresoft titles from the SNES era from everything else mentioned in this thread though (IMHO) tbh though i much prefer my western hemisphere RPGs like fallout, elder scrolls, wizardry, ultima, etc

edit: almost forgot: zelda....zelda trumps all.

Mmmm. Square Enix RPG talk. Yummy. But I'm a Kingdom Hearts kinda guy. I think a new Kingdom Hearts game on PS3 or XBox would be the game that prompted me to immediately buy one. :)

i know there is another one in the works, i think its for either the vita or DS though, i cannot remember, as i'm not big into any console type stuffs anymore, much less portables, quite frankly i think the last hurrah for me was the PS2, as everything i've touched on x360 and ps3 has been "meh" at best, with the one exception of infamous

I loved Zelda Link to the Past (I think - the one for SNES) but was not technically proficient enough to EVER finish the last boss. The later ones for GB and GBA were easier.

Favorites on the top of m mind...
Dragon warrior 1 will always hold a place in my heart. Getting it free with a Nintendo magazine was a win win even back then.
Skyrim FTW On my second run thru and so far a total of 300+ hours.
Medal of honor allied assault for pc I've prolly played online 2000+ hours. I was addicted for a while and wouldn't even leave the house for days :)
Wish Tapatalk would let me like the above posts. You people know your sh**t and i like that.

HAHAHA I remember my son taking pictures of the Game Over screen then sending them to Nintendo Power ;) I think he got in one. Oh my gosh when he was real little, Sonic had just come out. I took him to some of these gaming competitions. One he won $50 certificate to Electric Avenue. Anyone remember that store?

Oh, then one younger kid at a contest beat him and he never wanted to do a contest again ;)
