usually back to school sales go in effect like....around now...next big sale for cell phones is going to be holiday time....cell phone companies have three major sales per year on average: spring, back to school, and holiday time....like clockwork...best thing to do is sign the contract during one of these times so your upgrade comes at a time when the new sales/devices come in
After they went off sale at Verizon, Walmart had the Razr for $97 after that. I haven't looked lately, but it's probably gone, too. I was waiting for the family share plan to go into effect before signing again. When the FSP went up, the deals went down. I'm good with my HTC Eris, but it topped out at Android 2.1 and the current revision level of Ice Cream Sandwich is 4.0.1 from what I've seen. Jelly Bean about to be released and it's supposed to fix the jerkiness in scrolling and make Android as smooth as Apple IOS.
The longer I wait, the better it gets. My Eris is just crashing too much on web pages. I don't think my 2 year old android build is up to the new tricks. It frequently crashes to the desktop and then works when I relaunch the stock browser.
