I work at a transit garage and a memo was posted today notifying staff that electronic cigarettes are now banned inside company vehicles and facilities. This all came about supposedly because of inquiries from employees.
So somebody actually asked management if it was ok. My school of thought is that its easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
i knew this would happen eventually. I've been cutting my nicotine level over the past few months, and soon I'll be at zero. Then I'm walking away from all of it.
The company has every right to do this. I understand that, but i know the decision was made by uninformed people, and that's what pisses me off. How about doing a little research on the topic before creating new rules.
