Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Duct tape.
Most cats act REALLY oddly - and hilariously - when they get something sticky stuck to them. Stick it on their paw, they'll do everything they can to remove it. Stick it on their flank, they'll go in circles trying to get away from it. Stick it on their "shoulder" and they'll run in circles BACKWARD.

I don't think duct tape would work although it would make it a team worth watching.

Why can't we give people the benefit of doubt. Maybe this person was telling the truth and truly had a bad experience with cigalikes i mean geez imagine that!! Most vapers don't prefer them for a wide variety of bad experiences. Sometimes when we voice a bad experience with something we are essentially seeking for something we may be missing that would change that. Some folks when met with negativity will just walk away and i honestly can not blame this person if they did just that given how they were treated. The paranoia on this forum that anybody who voices a bad experience with vaping has an agenda is sad.

Even if this person did have ill motives, it still reflects badly on us vapers at the end of the day when WE take that approach. I wonder how many people were not helped and therefore went back to smoking because of overly zealous conspiracy theory attitudes by vapers. I would like to think this forum is here for those who enjoy vaping and also for those who are having bad experiences with it as well and could use some help.

Once again, we are not only failing miserably in getting our message out, but the kind of message we are sending as well.

I just wish the pharmaceutical and tobacco industries didn't find vaping so threatening. At least tobacco companies started to JOIN the game instead of eliminating it completely. Of course, their end game is to DOMINATE it and create the rules themselves, but that's just a little bit less money being spent on studies resulting in vilifying everything about vaping.

It's really all about maintaining their profit margins and controlling ALL the businesses that involve smokers.

Cats are furry and can go to the bathroom by themselves. That's a major plus over the toddlers....lol

This was the aspect that turned me into a cat person virtually overnight.... show a cat a box of "sand"... the cat knows what to do! It's plain amazing!!! :D Also the fact that they don't bark or slobber, BIG pluses in my book!!!!

Yeah, cats are pretty self-reliant after you feed them and give them a clean place to do their business. No walks, no perpetual tossing of a ball/stick/toy/whathaveyou. They usually don't complain but some of the talkier ones can be quite vocal about their preferences. Actually, I think that's another benefit. You can't starve them by forgetting to feed them because they will DEFINITELY let you know....lol

Bob never asked for help. He walked up to the lectern and preached. I didn't mind. It is Sunday..

I applaud you for taking the time to write a serious and helpful response. While Bob hasn't logged in again to read any replies since his one post, I bet the replies ARE making an impression on all the lurkers out there who may be wondering about such issues. What if a newbie comes along and puts "blurred vision" in the search box and comes across this thread? At least they will benefit from the serious and thoughtful replies.

Our little Tuxie is an attention hound, *sometimes* -- on HER schedule of course :D -- When she decides I'm not giving her enough attention, she'll pop up right beside my chair, her paws on my armrest, so I pet her a bit... then she'll drop and go to the other side, same thing... x 5 or 6, until she decides she's done with me for a while. :D

She's actually a "squeaker" -- very tiny high-pitched mews, UNLESS she sees another cat outside the slide-glass doors, then she YOWLS... and of course she did the yowling when she went into her first heat; we got THAT situation settled just as soon as she calmed down a little, because I read that even when a cat's "heat" passes, if you let her out, she'll go RIGHT BACK into heat. So she's fixed, and now anytime we hear a "cat fight" outside, I'd be willing to bet it's a male cat -- the ones around here that we know are female, she doesn't seem to have any problems with.

I have to take my Zyrtec every morning, but I'm fully converted now; don't really care if we ever get a dog! :D

Try & get a cat to take a bath, they also Hisss..

Yep... and my stepsister had a cat that would JUMP INTO the bathtub with her! Our cat likes for us to run the basin full of water in the bathroom with the large vanity, so she can "lurk over the waterhole" as her ancestors did. Guess she's waiting for the wildebeest...
