How about getting together with a more experienced vaper? Or on the phone? Probably just missing some little bits of info to get you moving.

I agree with r77 above...check out the Canadian Meets and Events forum to see if there is a local vape meet coming up. You'll definitely find the info (and maybe even the hardware) that you need at meet.

and in any event the Booster isn't made any more and no warranties are offered on any currently being sold.

Rut Roh Raggy! Seeing as i got this October 30th 2012 (well it was ordered then, technically i got it on November 2nd or Third) they maybe something hanky going on, as the site lists it as something else...while more then a handful of people over at cvcn swear by it on their ego torches, this cannot be good right?

And yes i do realize the ego twist, ego vv pass*, vision spinner** through but as someone who has used all three, if they are all set to the same voltage the winner in vapor production and juice taste from whatever the preferred atty, clear, cart, ce (whatever version) on it is the ego booster.

*After winning the ego vv in a contest from the USA i will admit my opinion is bias. I have not seen the same one for sale here in Canada which seems we only have the KGO version which cosmetically has three small changes (charging port, color, as well as fire button), while internally there is a few changes as well.

**I think this is the latest and greatest hot item in way of ego styled vv's

***The above picture i naturally deleted all particular personal information on myself

The recomendation for carto tanks is because this eliminates the too dry, too wet carto syndrome

I love my carto tank setup.
On an eGo twist, I use 1.5 ohm cartos and get ridiculous amounts of vapor. Especially with Goodejuice house Blend menthol Tobacco.

Smoktek single coil cartos work nicely. Out of 5 or 6 cartos I've only had one that was subpar. Maybe I filled it wrong.

There is a trick to filling the carto in a tank. On the first fill, put a tiny amount of juice on the outside of the carto and slide it into the tank.

Stick a round toothpick carefully in the top hole about a half inch. The goal is to plug the Center hole so juice doesn't get inside. Drip juice in it, 2 or 4 drops at a time. Then wait. (sometimes in shake the carto gently to help the juice settle.) then drip 2 or 4 more drops. Do this about 10 times.

Then, fill the tank, by sliding the carto down in the tank until you can squirt the juice down the side of the tank. Take out the toothpick.

Once it's full enough, let it rest for a few minutes. I take some puffs on it without engaging the battery.

The goal in all this is to fill the tank and get the inner batting of the carto moist. If the top looks very dry, add a few more drops with the tooth pick in place.

It sounds like more of a process than it is. You can find plenty of videos on YouTube on how to fill a tank. Just Google "how to fill a DCT tank". While there are various methods, they all work. The keys are, make sure you do not get juice in the inner hole of the carto (hence the round toothpick).

You will get wonderful vapes and no dry hits. Refilling the tank is very easy. Just slide the carto down enough to get juice in the side and then push the carto backup.

There are tank filling tools available to speed this up. I bought a 4$ one from Phiniac that's worth its weight in gold.

Use single coil tank replacement cartos. For ego batteries, use 1.5 - 2 ohm cartos for the most vapor quantity.

If you want to go this route, I'll be happy to make specific product recommendations. Just let me know and let me know what vendors you prefer.

Typed on my mobile. Please excuse typos.

You're fine. Per Artisan Vaping's site, units purchased after Nov. 26th, 2012 will not be covered by warranty.

Andrew please allow me to add to the range of suggestions and perhaps confusion.

I have been vaping since 1 Jun 12 so my experience with 910 is non-existent but I have ploughed my way through the cartos, atomizers, vivi novas and the first thing I discovered is that a reliable battery system with a mod where the voltage was adjustable was the first key to the puzzle:

I started with eGo Twist one 1,000 mAh and one 650 mAh. I still have and use both of them. From there after I started to appreciate the difference voltage made to my vape experience I spent the money and got a Provari. Would not change it for any of the new fangled lesser "me too" copies from overseas. It is simple, rugged, dependable and delivers as advertised.

With the eGo's and the Provari I did all atomizers and variations on the theme and decided to again spend the money and got a RBA specifically a Zen Atomizer for the Provari ("ZAP"). When customs finally released it (another story) I bolted to the Provari and haven't taken it off, changed the coil or the mesh and the vape quality is the same perfect vape as the day I tuned it in (same day as I received it).

Since then I have 3 more Zens~ and an Orion. A lot of people may say that's a lot of money but you get what you pay for and will only buy proven quality from now on its an investment.

Last point: If Zen (aka Mike Morgan) says you can wrap a perfect coil in 35 seconds believe him. I watched his video twice and I wrap perfect 1.8 - 2.o ohm coils in 45 seconds.

You're fine. Per Artisan Vaping's site, units purchased after Nov. 26th, 2012 will not be covered by warranty.

I had noticed that they posted that about the warranty but also noticed it ready about the booster version one (where you turn to the right to lower voltage, then turn to the left to raise it). I was more then lucky to have the version 1.2 (whatever the Rhyme and reason, to raise the volts you turn to the right, to lower the volts you turn to the left)

Rooting around on Artisan's web site today i was looking for information on the booster two which was the booster pre-built on a ego stealth battery. version two (stealth battery combo) Where as i noticed the following information that says: Any Ego Booster is not covered by warranty.

When i had posted that in my refereed battery round up (which worked for myself, and we all know devices like juice are highly subjective) i was under the impression they still carried a six month warranty which to me outweighed the initial cost of the ego twist or spinner (which varies from a DOA to one month warranty variances).

However, all is not lost with this new information as it was a small lesson learned for a little venue i will be initiating on January 1st (or second at latest).

Hi all,
I opened this thread quite some time ago, and I wanted to provide an update.

First, thanks to everyone who offered advice. It was greatly appreciated and has helped me on my way.

I ended up ordering the Ultimate Starter Kit from CanVape, which included 2 eGo-C Twist batteries and these tanks:
--Ego Vision Stardust V2
--VIVI Nova V2
--Kanger T2
--Kanger T3 eGo Bottom Coil Clearomizer
--Vision Extreme

I tried them all. They were all good, except (as others have noted) the Vision Extreme.

After keeping at them for a good couple of weeks, I found my favourite was the Vivi Nova.

I have bought a bunch more of these, plus a bunch of replacement heads/wicks of various resistances.

These are nothing like the cartos I tired years ago. The Vivi Nova is consistent, packs a big punch, lots of flavour, decent throat hit. It is an entirely different situation now, for I have also found the one thing that was massively important to me: reliability and consistency.

So thanks everyone for their input. I now have a solid rig, and am 2 weeks away from throwing away the analogs for good.

One final note:
I've tried probably 3 dozen flavours from various suppliers. The only one I enjoy is Ceegretta from Jugheads.

Thanks again,
Andrew
