Yes, car, kids, grand kids.
Vapor dissipates quickly. I never exhale in their direction. I only Vape @ 3mg/ml. I rarely chain or power vape.
I find it highly unlikely anyone would be in a situation worse than when I was a smoker.

I also seriously believe if we attempt to live in a completely sterile environment a simple sneeze would become deadly.

Your child's father needs facts. Save stories for the little ones.

If I were smoking, my following comments would make me feel highly irresponsible, but I have no concerns vaping around my kids. I vape in the car with the family and open the window a little and just blow it out for courtesy reasons. When i'm home, I vape away and the vapor dissipates instantly with no odor. The percentage of harmful particles from "second hand vapor" (sounds ridiculous, right?) in the air are, IMO, infinitely less than walking down the street after a bus or truck goes by.

That was all very well put, as well as other comments. I've never thought twice & just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy here. My daughter actually loves the smell of the vapor & always tries to guess what I'm vaping. That's WAY, WAY better her asking me to quit because it's stinky & so on. I'm finding this is a hobby, almost "obsessive" lol!! Unfortunately he isn't as much into vaping but, hopefully I can & will change his mind so he can get healthy & be around longer for our daughter! Ty all for reassuring me :)

I am so glad you feel at peace with it. There are many more toxins in the air than any vapor could put out. Also, if you smoked around your kids, this should make you feel a million times better :) (And I am in no way saying you smoked around them. I am just saying congrats on quitting the stinkies and being a good parent :))

I no longer have young children but I do vape around my neighbors children. (She smokes) Typically Ivape in places where I smoked. That is my screened porch.
I did not smoke in my house or car. However I will vape in my car and in my house sometimes.

From your post it sounds like your hubby smokes? Does he smoke in the car or house? Even if he does not I am sure the lingering smell as well as some of the film from real cigs linger on him. Does he think that is safe for your daughter?

I do not vape in the car if the grands are with us. I do vape in my house but again, if the grands are there I go outdoors or to another room. My decision is not because I think the vapor is harmful but because I don't like doing things around them that I consider to be more adult in nature. If they see me outside or walk into the room I'm in, I don't hide it and I answer their questions. I always make it clear to them that it is much safer than my former smoking habit but if I had made better choices when I was younger I probably would not be vaping now.

Having said all that I have no issues with those who believe otherwise. Perhaps children who grow up with vaping parents or grandparents will never be tempted by analogs. Now wouldn't that be a blessing? :)

Does the child's father pass gas around the children?? How about in the car while transporting them?? If so, it's quite possible that he is exposing the child to chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide, a broad spectrum poison, methanethiol, affects the central nervous system in high concentrations, and dimethyl sulfide, which is highly flammable and an irritant to skin and eyes.

Credit for the above goes to Flatulence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I believe a fart is more dangerous from inhalation, irritation, and flammable gasses than the small amount of nicotine that you exhale. I also highly doubt you are cocooning your child in a thick cloud like cigarette smoke produces. Remember that a cigarette continues to burn when set in the ashtray.

My point...tell him to bugger off.

Hubby and I vape in the car and the house with the kids there. So far, so good. I wouldn't be concerned about the nicotine. If anything, I'd be more concerned regarding any PG allergies, but neither of my kids are allergic to it. In fact, this winter, they never needed antibiotics. This was the first winter we've been through where they never needed to see the doctor for an illness. I believe that the little bit of smoke that followed my husband and I into the house when we came in from a smoke break caused more harm then vaping in the house.

I vape all over the house and in the car, in front of my kids. They are glad me and the Mrs. don't smoke any more. So are the pets! :)

That said, I am of the firm belief that vaping actually helps to cleanse the air of germs and bacteria. It is known that PG is used in ventilation systems for that very purpose! Adding nicotine to the mix gives it pesticidal properties as well! The more you know! :vapor:

Do you vape around your kid(s) when your inside your house or in the car? If so, thoughts on nicotine ingestion? My child's father thinks our daughter will get a nicotine buzz.. How many parents smoke in the car, windows barely cracked, is vaping that bad around them? :?:

My family (all healthcare types like nurses and such) let me vape anywhere and everywhere. I had to get used to not being chased outta the house all the time. :)

Closed room studies I've seen haven't detected any nicotine in the air. In fact, not much of anything significant. And that's testing done with a bunch of vapers in an enclosed space.

If it worries you or others, well, maybe it's not worth the argument. But, honestly, I'm a LOT more worried about the crap coming out of the tail pipe of the cars everybody's driving. I'd have to ask folks who worry if they've ever read up on what the CAR is putting in the air the kids are breathing...
