It was actually a health issue that caused me to temporarily go back to very light smoking -- my appendix just *insisted* that it be outside me rather than inside me, and that went fine, but the aftermath for someone with IBS is just ungodly -- 4 days of no food, vape, or even much to drink, resulted in equally ungodly cravings, and as massively dehydrated as I was, I just didn't think vaping was really in my best interest, at least until I got a handle on the dehydration/electrolyte imbalance. But, 3 1/2 wks of attending to that with coconut water and other high-potassium dietary additions, and increasing vaping as I decreased smoking, has brought me back to smoke-free, vape-only.
Yesterday, my first day back to vape-only, was pretty easy. Today wasn't bad, but on the way home from our monthly-housecleaning at my parents', running into several igmos who see '50 MPH' and think it says '05 MPH' had me nearly frothing at the mouth. I was craving a cigarette desperately, and I told myself, 'ok, you can have one when you get home, if you still really feel you need it, but it's just postponing the inevitable'.... so I didn't have it. YAY! Hurray for procrastination and the wisdom to leave that open pack at home.
