NP set to 38 on Ti and it's vaping grate. I do get lower resistand as anyone else have. Is there a solution to the problem? I'm on page 212 at the moment hoping I'll find something before I' ll get its guts out

Well I'm hoping for a solution about it's connection problems. I run it on single battery. the one under the 510 never works right. The other one, I have to find a sweet spot screwing the tap to make it work. As for lower resistant, I 'm aware of it and I can deal with it.
Yesterday I bought some reasonably good quality temperature measuring equipment and some probes. I am going to use this to externally measure and validate the NP settings for a range of coils and resistance levels. I will also be able to validate the accuracy of various TC devices - the SXK, Waidea, the Kangxin Mini VFs, and others I own.
I bought this digital thermometer that supports two probes, with USB logging: UNI-T UT325 Contact Type Thermometer
Full specs:
- Dual thermocouple inputs
- Works with type K, J, T, E, R, S and N thermocouples
- 0.1°C resolution
- High accuracy testing
- Portable, lightweight unit for easy portability
- Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin selection
- Data hold function
- Auto shut down when left idle
- Low battery indication
- MAX/MIN/AVG modes
- Data logging - 100 records
- USB interface for downloading testing data
- High and low alarms
- High/lower signal output
- LCD backlit screen
- Auto calibration
- Electricity cut-off memory
As the UNI-T can monitor and display two probes at once, I figure this will mean I could put two probes in a single coil, perhaps one each end, and get an idea of how temperature varies across the coil. I can also measure a dual coil setup and see how well a given mod/build/atty regulates two coils at once.
I also got two of these 3mm probes.

And also two of these special thin-wire, bare-sensor probes: Type K fine wire thermocouple 0.13mm as well. They're made by a UK company, saying the following:
This is one of the smallest wire gauge thermocouples available just 0.13mm diameter these are manufactured in our UK factory using Omega TT-KI-36 wire class1 with a max temperature of 260°c, they are welded using an argon gas to stop any oxidisation and create the best weld possible. With a response time of 1 second in air makes this thermocouple ideal for applications like biophysics, medical research, gas chromatography etc.

Got mine today, from smog. Working great so far.Just received my iPV4 Black MOD! What a machine! This baby ROCKS!
The Vapor Flask V3 by Kangxin is going on a sabbatical until I get that new 510 connector to replace that crappy brass one with the threads all worn out.
What's yer plans on this flasks? I'm curious as to why you purchased so many. Did you get a sweet deal on a quantity buy?Got a few SXK 60w VF v3's today
Still got the low ohm reading
Battery threads still needed cleaning
Top plate still painted on the underside
But no resistance issues from battery caps to 510 ground !
All gone in a few hours, so might get some more
Only issue I had was one auto firing
This turned out to be the fire switch cap incorrectly aligned/inserted
All sorted & that one went too
Had a look at the board whilst in there & soldering looks A1 now so looks like someone has had some practice

I can tell you that for sure I like it but that rubberized coating would be a deal breaker.
I wonder how long it would last before it started to peel.I can tell you that for sure I like it but that rubberized coating would be a deal breaker.
It took my VS about 2 weeks and I'm real careful with my stuff. That is what I'm basing my opinion on but perhaps it's better stuff now...but I doubt it.I wonder how long it would last before it started to peel.
oh boy... that's sooo tempting, I hate you
My Kangxin flask has been taking a break as well, ever since I got my silver IPV4. Now I have a black one. I have been rotating Sony Vtc5's, Samsung 25r's and LG he4's in mine. They all seem to work well. Can't say that I see a big difference, but I usually take them out at about 1/2 charge showing and put them on the charger. One thing I"ve noticed comparing the VF V3 to the iPV4 is that the iPV4 really kicks it.
At 20 Joules I'm getting a good hearty vape with lots of flavor and warm too. Temperature set a 420F
If I kick the Joules to the next memory setting at 30 Joules this puppy is cranking it.
For me the "sweet spot" is anywhere from 20 - 25 Joules, just wish I could save that 25 Joules setting.
Using a new matched set of the Efest Purple IMR18650 2500mAh 35A batteries. Will see tomorrow how the LG HE4 18650s do.
