Agree...I think it's solder no silicone btw I cannot find seen any silicone on the VF but maybe under the hood.

Sweet, the waiting begins again.

Shenzhen, left the treatment center and sent to USJFKF"
"Origin Post is Preparing Shipment, We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece."
Looks like our packages have been transit buddies so far! Mine flew out 42 mins after yours.

Shenzhen, left the treatment center and sent to GBLALA
However I don't then have the next line about Preparing Shipment.
And I have absolutely no idea what airport "LALA" is meant to be - it sounds a bit worrying to be honest, I don't want it going lala! Your airport code made sense (Well, assuming you were expecting it to land at JFK), but there's no LAL airport (well there is but it's a tiny airport in Florida, not in GB),
I would expect LHR (Heathrow) or LGW (Gatwick).
Oh well, I'm sure it's going to the right place
Unfortunately it's the Easter 4 day weekend, so once it lands in the UK I'd expect it to do nothing until Tuesday at the earliest.
Still, it's been moving fairly smoothly so far and so I'm still pleasantly surprised!
fear not mate. Next update should be LANGLEY HWDC but by the time you actually see this, it will be probe have been delivered already. Mine took about 3 days after the GBLALA update!
Waidea VF owners, can you comment on what batteries you're using / which batteries fit OK?
We know that Sony VTCs are OK, and lenon said he was using the EFest 3100mahs that are re-wrapped Panasonics (I think)
Can anyone confirm if any other batteries are fine? Samsung 25Rs perhaps?
.
I took my Sammy 25R out of my IPVmini and tested it. It fits well. I also learned that 1 battery will power the waidea/sunlay. So the batteries are wired together and then to the board, which is consistent with my knowledge of parallel wiring based on RC plane and heli experience. I've been using married efest 2500s usually, with a good fit as well.
Correct, you will double the capacity but the voltage will remain the same.Awesome, and thanks so much for taking the time to test that!
Oh, and here's a newbie question: the total battery capacity of a 2 x parallel battery mod is simply the two mahs added together, right (or, to be more precise - twice the capacity of the lowest mah battery, if they were different - which obviously shouldn't be done anyway.)
So if I put 2 x 2500 mah, I have a total battery life of 5000mah? Simple as that? Or is there any slight loss from going parallel?
Put another way, if I had 2 x 1250 mah batteries in parallel (if such a battery exists), would that give me exactly the same capacity as 1 x 2500mah?
With the added benefit that the amp draw is split between the batteries. As usable battery capacity decreases with higher amp draw parallel LG he2s (as an example) should last longer than using each he2 at a time, at least theoretically.Awesome, and thanks so much for taking the time to test that!

This seems counterintuitive but it does seem to hold water out in the field. FWIW someone had mentioned Samsung INR 18650 25R batteries fit. I remember this because I use them. With the added benefit that the amp draw is split between the batteries. I was happy when mine finally made it too Chicago, four days ago. And that is the last update. Should have been here by now.
meant to say in uk, the tracking number should work for Royal Mail! My experience was that on the day it was delivered, it registered as being at LHR customs and it was updated as 'delivered' the day after delivery so all is a bit delayed!!
Royal Mail Tracking said:Royal Mail Signed For™ items are only scanned when the item has been delivered. Depending on whether the item was sent 1st or 2nd class, this may be a few days after posting. Please try again later.
yeah, i know what you mean. mine says "Your item has been processed through our sort facility in ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) at 11:37 am on March 28, 2015." and thats the last update i have. you would have thought it would have made it to my door by now.
