Parallel. As Ariel said, Yihi is making a custom version of the SX350J board for VF, with a modified screen ribbon for the top-mounted display, and will run up to 100W in Power mode. Not sure about maximum Joules for Ni/Ti yet.

I'm pretty sure Charlie said firmware updates for the SX350J-VF will be available on Yihi's site, along with the updates for the SXMini and SX350J modder board.

Not too keen on the "rubberized finish" on that VaporShark version, although the zip-charging feature is appealing.

I'd be interested in hearing form somebody that has the VS VF and has put some mileage on it to see how the coating holds up.

ETA:
$159 is a great price, though!

I've been hesitant to pull the trigger on the VS Flask -- I love the form and the $159.00 price tag AND zip charging. Hopefully the finish and build quality are there.

***Have you attempted to contact VS about the wrong battery caps? That is also a huge part of why I like the VS model and I'm curious about VS's customer support. I have an older DNA30 VS that I loved but have PIF'd cuz I'd vape for 2 hours and the battery would be dead already

2 questions,

1. how titanium aware is the new SX350j VF? - titanium compatibility is the only thing my DNA40 VF lacks, I would never need higher than 40 watts

2. surely there is a way to retrofit my VF with the one of the new dna 200 boards, has anyone figured out how? - I don't want to ditch this expensive VF just to upgrade the DNA board!

The sx350j update includes titanium should apply to the VF as well. As far as for the dna200... Not likely to work due to the size of the board and the battery requirements. VF is designed to accomodate two 18650's not a triple lipo pack as required for the DNA200.

Ummmm... you do know that the dna200 can use 2 18650 batteries in series right? Although the power will be limited to 133 watts.

True but I don't think that would be a strong selling point for dna200. There are some looking into three 18650's in series to achieve the full 200watts

Major,

Three 18650 has already been done by one of those outfits that sells the 3D printed boxes. I don't remember the name of the company but they sell a three 18650 sled to use in their printed box. You can use the sled in any mod case you can fit it in. Or you can just wire up your own three cell series pack. :2c:

There's a demand for a dual 18650 dna200 mod which is why evolv updated the firmware to achieve that. There's also a lot of people who don't go above 80 watts, even 50 watts at that. My dna200 doesn't go above 60 watts. It will do 40 preheat and 25. With two lg hg2s, I can get about 2 days of battery life. This is why I'll try to fit a dna200 inside a vs vf.
