Hey guys... Just wanted to ask if you all have noticed that your battery indicator always shows full and doesn't accurately represent the battery level?

Just keep vaping it takes about half a day for my VF level to go down

For me that's about a day three quarters. And it doesn't display low battery until the bat symbol is empty.

I am sure I don't vape as heavy as you "Hees" but I am absolutely amazed at the battery life I get out of the VaporFlask. I use the same battery type in a single bat unit I have (not a DNA anything) at the same wattage level (15 watts) as my flask and have no problem polishing of two batteries in a single day.

Vaped for 13 hours and the battery still said full.... If I take the battery out and put it back in it shows the correct level, but as soon as I hit the fire button it shoots back up to full.

It does display in a strange way. IMHO it is doing one of those expected life things depending on how much you use it and the amount of energy you are pulling from it. However mine when it is getting near the end the display starts creeping down over several hours until it shows empty. Mine continues to vape when the symbol shows empty but I will start getting the blinking "Low Batter" warning.

Are they matched batteries??? (Two batteries of the same make and model bought at the same time) If not, you can get a situation where it'll show all types of battery levels

Anyone else have this problem? Now that I have this VF DNA40 and I've figured out how to build on it, all my other devices are being neglected. I absolutely love it.

If the problem you are referencing is your other mods getting neglected the answer is YES. To the point that I am even worrying about my 26650 batteries getting damaged from just sitting there fully charged doing nothing and my other atties sitting there so long now that the juice is separating in the tanks.

If your talking about the battery indicator I'll pass on that one mine works good enough for me.

No problems with the battery meter. I'm just loving the dna 40 so much I can't bring myself to use my other mods.

I know exactly what you mean. It's to the point that I am feeling guilty letting all my other gear just sit collecting dust.

Might have to visit the "Classified Section" and thin out some of my equipment.

I have two different DNA 40 boards from different suppliers, both are early versions. One of them does exactly what you report. The other does not. I have seen someone report the exact same behaviour on a reddit forum, but I don't think it is very common (unless many people just don't use the battery indicator).

I get that with fresh batts for a while and when the levels are down it sometimes shows higher for a while...

My understanding is that the board takes the final wattage when firing and calculates based off of that. Because the DNA40 will throttle the wattage down from one's setting it might be reading 17w instead of the 24w one has it set to. Because of this, it will give an incorrect amount of battery life.

Just got on this thread to say or ask, if anyone has mentioned that my Flask40 will NOT take the blue Samsung 25amp batts.

I just bought 10 of them in a co op buy and DAMN!!! they're too thick just wont fit. bummmmmer.

Get a sponge, and use the tougher green side to "polish" the battery wrapper. I did that and it fit perfectly after :)

Jax,

Just to keep the variation reports between units operating in FL to units operated in UT mine when it comes out of sleep mode will display 30% ~ 50% probably something more inline with what the current battery level really is. As I continue to use it the Bat indicated will creep up to 100% and pretty much stay there.

The only time the indicator starts to creep down (slowly) is around the point that (with my current use) I probably have a couple of hours left before getting the low bat indicator.

I honestly have no idea how it is supposed to work. I was so distrusting of the bat indicator that I actually had to force myself to continue to use it when the bat level indicator finally started to creep down to see if it would really indicate the flashing "Low Battery" thing. Mine does and I stuck in in the charger at the "Low Battery" point and it read ~ 3.27 volts. I wish I had tested it with my VOM because I have notice that most of the time on other MODs that when they claim low battery when I put them in the charger they tend to read a little higher.

Anyway there seems like there is no end to the DNA40 questions that a "Users Manual" wouldn't resolve unless they are tweaking code so often that it prevents them from creating a manual because it would be out of date every couple of days.
