Probably. I'm just figuring that if there is any long-term "residue," this method would only diminish it somewhat.
I vape in my car and am in there about 1,5 to 2 hours a day. The inside of my car's windows get hazy and I clean them about once every... 2 to three months. However, this is no different from when I didn't vape yet (and I never smoked in my car then)
So I'm inclined to think vaping is not a cause for any noticeable residue buildup.
I also don't notice anything building up in my apartment.
Well said.Where did your landlord get the idea that there will be vapor residue/build up in the apartment?
If you fry some bacon or even cook a sizzling hamburger, there is going to be residue, the steam rises, and clings to walls, etc.
If anyone in a home uses hairspray, spray deordorant, etc. that will also leave residue.
the reason cigarettes left residue is because, like a woodstove, there is particulate released thru burning like soot, carbon, and in case of cigs, tar. None of this exists with vaping.
I think you need to do more research BEFORE you spend more $$ on filters, etc. and I do not think you should have promised your landlord about vaping indoors until you knew for sure. I have vaped for over a year and there is no residue in my house that I have seen.
It just sounds like you will not be able to relax and vape inside your own apartment.....without positioning yourself in front of an air purifier? If that is your plan, it just sounds very unrealistic to me.
Obviously you are a very polite person, but this sounds a little too polite.
When I was a smoker I had to clean my eye glasses once a day as they always seemed to fog up. Since vaping I clean them once a week if necessary. I do wonder what happens to the color of the e-liquids as the vapor is always clear.
I've seen people speak of residue build up but I haven't seen it. I don't drive much so I probably wouldn't see it in my truck like my roommate can coat his windows with cigarette smoke in no time, but I am always on a computer and I don't see it on my screens like I would with smoke.
Maybe that is what you see all gunked up on the coil?
Install a not-so-small ACLU window sticker ponted outwards.
So what we have determined here is that everyone's car windows are different.

I have notice a residue on the windshield of my car. It's very hard to clean off. I want to smears and I end up cleaning it 4-6 times with Windex to finally get it so it's clear at night. when I smoked it took 2 cleaning to clean the windshield. I think it is that it is the oil vapor and I should be using something other then Windex.. I assume it collects in the house.
I hear what everyone said about food and the residue. I don't have a problem with residue from food except around the stove. Vaping now in introduces the residue to the family room and other parts of my house. When I smoked, I smoked outside because of the residue, I now started about 50% of the time vaping outside. I have wonder in the long term if this residue is going to make it hard to repaint a room because of it's oil base. kinda like around the stove were i wash the wall before painting???
