VaporBomb.com and our staff wish to send out our deepest condolences to the families of the 25 miners that were killed yesterday. I will be opening a thread for us to express our sympathy and to just vent our feelings. This is an issue very close to me, when my family came here from Ireland they settled in St. Mary's W.V. and were miners for many years. I will come back and link the thread to this one. Again please just take a moment and be greatful for those close to you and thankful for those people that go out everyday and do those jobs that not all of us are willing to do.

To Sgood1971 Please relay this message to anyone you may know in the mining industry. Thank you Harry

Thread I have started to leave post for families of miners, or just vent your personal feeling on the issue.

I actually know people who are affected by this and will pass along the condolences.

I'm only a few miles from St. Mary's.

harry, i believe unless somebody has a personal connection to mining like you do it will be hard to really understand the scope of this tragedy. but what we all can imagine is the loss of a loved one which has struck at least 30 families in this small mining town. my heart goes out to all of those left behind and especially to the miners who lost their lives by just trying to make an honest living. may they find peace

Most people might not have a direct personal connection to the coal miners, but since coal provides the MAJORITY of the electricity in this country, we all have an indirect connection and a reason to be thankful to those who risk their lives providing it for us.
