Can anyone tell me what you have to do you join the VF Facebook group? I sent in a request a week ago and still have not been added. Does it normally take a while before you get added?

I'd like the answer to that same question. Sent one several weeks ago with no response?

OooHhh 4 "The Love of vaping"

My request took a couple weeks as well. They are at vape summit this weekend, and getting ready for the retail release.

And I was gonna order this flask but kinda bummed that yihi made their last test firmware update for titanium and never made a finished update as the titanium wire mode does not work properly at all. At least in my sx mini. And then to top that they just dropped the 350j v2 chip which almost seems like it's just the 350j v1 chip with the final firmware update. Now they make everyone have to buy a new sx mini or another flask later on. Bummer I wish they would at least release a last update for the current 350j chips.

Might want to catch up on some news Tom:

TL;DR: Yihi didn't abandon the 350J V1, and added some nice new, competitive features.

You'll be able to do manual TCR adjustment (giving stainless steel and NiFe support, among others), as well as finalized Ni200/Ti01 presets that you can refine via the TCR function if you desire, and you can offset the baseline calibration temp to get a more accurate resistance reading. Several folks on the forum have the firmware now, and after testing it they are quite happy with it.

Based on Vapor Flask's innetentiveness to the requests of long time customers regarding this product, non existent communication with prospective buyers and reported issues this far,I think I'll hold off and see how the wide release goes. What's another couple months gonna hurt after repeatedly requesting something resembling a release date from vf.

Finally now that the Dna200 has been put in a flask and there's a hint of hope I think that's what I'm waiting for. Or I'm just gonna have to buy a shark flask or clone flask to try myself

Dont know about shark flask, but i would stay away from clone flasks - you can see on any picture that almost all have the battery cap threads anodized. If you build mods you dont need me to tell you what that means.

I think Dna200 is a great chip, i just hate nickel wire (cant stand vaping w/it, or even working w/it), & will only use Kanthal or SS. Neither of which "needs" TC. Just not a fan of how TC is done in it's current form. However, i Have learned much valuable info from experimenting w/TC since the 1st run Dna40 flask, & thus am now able to vape w/vertical tank coils (w/the wicking on the outside) in such ways that i rarely get temps much over 400F anyway, so i really dont even need TC. And dont even use it anymore on the many TC capable mods i do have, just VW.

Hence my great interest in this version flask, the 1st mod w/ability to do 100w regulated in parallel battery setup. But being on a budget i have no choice but to wait, & hope it will be both a good mod & still available in a month or two or three. Tho I do understand why some are hesitant if using TC w/Titanium.

I understand your frustration. The communication was poor, and they have had some QC issues. I have one on the way from a private seller, and will post my experience with it when it arrives.

poor screen alignment, rough finished edges & dodgy 510 connectors causing jumping ohms
was hoping to get one when they finally become available to the public as my sx mini's have served so well
but .....

Hadn't heard of the poor screen alignment and rough edges. Where did you hear of those issues? Everything I've seen is the 510 issue.

There's one picture on the FB owners group that shows some sloppy application or leaking of the sealant used on the outer screen. 510 issues on three or four that I've seen in the past month or so. Another couple complaints of scuffs and mishandling, devices not absolutely pristine on arrival. One "DOA". And in every case, there was a replacement forthcoming.

To those pointing out that there have been some 510 issues: Thank you so much !! I'm out. Not gonna buy a $300 flask w/510 issues again. Very sad. Hope VF gets it fixed.

My 1st run Dna40 flask is getting close to the end because of a 510 issue which was a design flaw in the original, & i've been careful about not screwing atties in too tight from day one, mostly use it in VW mode, AND it only has about 3 months worth of full time use on it in the almost 12 months that i've had it, cuz i run several flavors on several mods at once. And that 1st run dna40 chip is so flawed it was only good for experimenting w/TC anyway. To hear now that there are still issues w/the 510, a full year later, is quite upsetting.

Got no money, ability, time, or patience for dealing w/another $300 flask that has significant issues. Like a Mercedes thats always in the shop.

For a $300 made in USA mod i expected a much higher level of quality than what i got w/my 1st flask. As of now there wont be a 2nd.

Mountains out of molehills IMO.

w/regard to this new flask, perhaps i'm over reacting ? time will tell

w/regard to the 1st batch OG flask, almost all who got that one were not happy w/it at all, as can be seen in the posts to that thread from late last year.
Evolv used that as their dna40 beta test, & it was a disaster, & while evolv deserved the hit to their rep they caused, VF didnt deserve that, & neither did all those who paid $300 for a mod w/a defective chip. Mountains out of molehills is those who were complaining that the screen wasnt aligned just perfect.
