I wonder how Vapor Flask feels about Yihi releasing a newer version of the SX350 J
I seriously doubt any further upgrades will happen for the current version.

This is a big concern to us over at the SX mini thread. If no further updates are available, then it is what it is. But as I stated in the sx thread, there aren't enough changes to the SX for me to consider purchasing it. Now, if it supposed dual 18650's, that would merit a purchase. Weather it's the old chip or a new one. I'm not a temp control fan. At least in it's current state. I would buy the VF before I would buy an SX mini with the new chip

I'm not quite so pessimistic about it myself, since I think the basic board firmware will be very similar between the J and the J2 based on what I've been reading. Shouldn't be that hard to pack in any refinements and tweeks from the J2 or even add a few more wire choices. They might even be able to implement a user controlled manual TCR menu. The biggest difference is that the old J just won't be able to load "flavor profiles" via software like the J2 is likely able to support.

Lets not forget they've got a lot of partners with significant inventory of the original J that they need to keep happy if they expect them to move on to the J2 or future premium boards. Not to mention what's probably a sizable inventory of SX Mini M units sitting on shelves and in warehouses that still need homes. And the lessons Evolv taught them with the DNA40 about pissing off partners and customers (to Yihi's immense benefit) certainly aren't lost on them.

Very interested but I'm going to wait and see what happens to the chip. Hell, you can find the 40s for 200. The J chip doesn't warrant the extra scratch as it sits now.
Them 60 extra Watts make it more appealing IMO, but yeah, I'm going to pass on this one for now, and see what they do with a DNA200 (133).

Yeah, its actually less than $200 for the vapor shark version which is made in China. I've had to exchange one I got twice because it had problems. They covered shipping at least & replaced it with a nice one which I absolutely LOVE. On the other hand, $270 for a US made SX flask is worth it in my opinion. I paid $330 for the US made 40 when it came out (I imagine $30 Vender tax).

I'm definitely interested in that too- the 200 more than all the extra watts. Some say it can't be done. I'm sure they'll want to maintain their form factor to maintain the same shape and take two 18650's. I wouldn't even mind if it maxed out at 60W but had all the other features of the 200 chip. Only time will tell.

100 watts w/parallel 18650''s !! 1st time i've ever seen any regulated mod do that- being able to run up to 100w w/o stressing or pushing batts to near their full CDR amps like in 18650 series mods - & stuff 6000mAh in there, & in a US made flask, i'd buy it just for all that......when i can afford to....

DNA 200 is getting all the hype & buzz, but plenty of lousy mods are being made w/that board, as well as good ones. Most are overpriced right now.

This flask & is solid & unique in it's own way.

ETA Besides, a DNA133 w/series 18650's is almost a different mod than the 200, gonna be running batts very close to or at their full CDR Amps at over 100w anyway.
Seems to boil down to which type wires one prefers to vape with, at what wattages & with how much batt power in reserve, & whether one wants to tinker w/a computer. I would still buy this version flask 1st, then a quality 200 or 133 later.

Well, the SX-350J (and SX-130H for that matter) can push 75w with a single 20 amp rated 18650 (within the voltage limits), so I don't see a problem with a parallel setup being easily able to handle 100 watts since the amp load is halved per battery.

I was actually being extremely positive about this flask. Will go edit out the 2 ?? marks from that post so it sounds right
