Arrived last night. No issues with finish, screen alignment, or 510.
The battery caps are SHARP, sliced my finger open the first time I removed them. Looks like they insert the caps and polish the bottom as one piece.

this uk seller is refunding all sx flasks as they don't make the grade
Hadn't heard of the poor screen alignment and rough edges. Where did you hear of those issues? Everything I've seen is the 510 issue.
in the vaporflask group

vapour z has even stopped selling them due to QC and is refunding everyone

That's a shame. I haven't had any issues with mine, with the exception of the battery caps being extremely sharp.

My local shop got 2 and both had to be replaced. Not only that but the fit and finish was awful. Didn't feel nice like previous flasks. The top of the flask didn't line up nice with the body and had small overhangs. Overall I was very unimpressed. I mean the clone flasks looked better to me. It felt like the body was cheap and the battery cap threading was horrible and had very sharp edges

Right behind you...
Then why the crappy workmanship?

Made is US? BS is more likely.

What, you've never owned a GM, Ford or Chrysler product? :)

But seriously, it's still just a handful out of hundreds if not thousands of shipped devices, and it's the first production run of a new product (there's significant changes between the original DNA models and the SX, from internals to finish to the basic body design). On top of that they had a LOT of demand, and these were supposed to ship in September but they had to wait on boards that arrived late (thanks to a fire in China eating a huge chunk of the world's OLED supply that everyone is feeling), so things were more than likely a bit rushed at the end.

It was either gamble with some QC failures (do keep in mind, there are far more HAPPY SX Flask owners than there are unhappy ones), or wait even longer to get the device out to market. If they waited or slowed, unable to meet orders, they risked losing more sales to strong competition from the DNA200 space and other products than they would from some bad word of mouth about a few QC failures.

QC failures that, by the way, did not cause permanent harm to those unfortunate few, since they ARE being very good about warranty replacement.

Now, step back from your disappointment and anger for a second, and look at other major mod releases this year. SX Mini M Class? Paint issues, crooked displays, board issues. DNA200 launch was a fustercluck, with problems across the board, from Vaporshark to Hana to Boxer to all the Chinese mods. And that's not counting all the DNA40 problems earlier in the year.

Vaporflask has just been a huge failure in the UK lately

last time it was Midlands Vaping who sent all the dna40 flasks back and stopped selling them

now its Vapour Z who have pulled the plug on sx flasks and backing all their quota

I have had better luck with the SXK Flasks ..... with 40+ sold only three needed remedial work

Have been following the vaporflask owners group and catching the posts before they were deleted to hide the QC issues and its been more like 50/50

Even those who are happy[ish] with their new flasks still mention quality issues

Personally I will wait to see what Yihi release next now rather than hope to get a decent SX Flask

I was actually sent a replacement, and I can say for a fact that it's 110% better quality. The battery caps are a little crunchy but that will smooth out over time but other than that I have no issues with the new one. The old one I have to send back was from the pre order list and it honestly felt like an unfinished product.
