It is weird how this industry works. Most industries will do a pre-order, but have the items already assembled and ready to go to meet the ship date. I guess this is what happens when you have an industry where most business owners do not have a business degree. Not saying that is vital, but would help immensely. How hard is it to get China to pump these housing out to drop the dna boards in here in the states prior to a product launch? Also, I wonder what went wrong that caused them to switch to magnets at the last minute? You would think with most of us being ex-smokers they would want to be as efficient as possible with these launches.

What was unnecessary?

Oh, I could be totally wrong, but my first sensing was that the article was shared because of the criminal background of the brothers, as if that had something to do with the delays and issues surfacing in this thread, and became more personal than it should be. That's all.

If that wasn't part of your intent then my bad I guess.

It was the only real history I have been able to find on the company, but I will remove the link, because that was not my intent.

Welp. To all those who have ordered or received their sharkskin and want to exchange for the updated one..... Here's the thing

You'll need to pay for shipping back to them

They'll refund you for the skin only

You'll need to reorder the new one when its available.

Haha at this rate I'll just keep the damned things. Shipping back and forth would almost be the price of a new skin already. Face palm. Gonna hope that the current skin fits fine enough so I won't have to order the new one

Do they fit the rDNA 30? What colors? I have red, blue, green and white and I really want a black and grey now. If you have either of those or both i'll buy em off you.

On another note to those who have used the VS wireless charging, is it alright to just leave the qi charging based plugged in when not in use?

I can't speak for the VS unit (I don't have one) but my cheap-o QI charging pad stays nice a cool while charging and while just sitting around plugged in. I leave it plugged in to the wall outlet 24/7. I think there is so little juice going into it that it doesn't get enough power to get hot.

The one I have is the rDNA 30 black skin. I think I'm just gonna end up keeping it haha. Both ways im gonna have to spend on 2x shipping cost so it wouldn't make much sense. :)

AH ok thanks. Keeping mine plugged in for a while and see if it gets warm. Nods

The DNA 40 board is supposed to be water resistant.
I have a Kick2 that got dropped in the water while shore fishing... The kick was fine, so Evolv's board is water resistant. However, I'm going to guess that VS didn't take the same level of precautions with their solder points on the 510, charger, etc...

I can't find the post; maybe on another thread, but Turbocad6 (who mods a lot) says that is not correct; juice will damage the board "will kill the display".

The board is water resistant, the screens are not.

Well, I just spoke with someone named Mike who said to expect my pre-order in 3 - 4 weeks.
I don't care the price will be more at a later date.
I'd rather buy when they've got their act together, can meet supply & demand & whatever last minute changes are already completed.
As long as dates keep changing I'm not interested in Vapor Shark holding onto my money so I cancelled my order.
