30ga = less wraps and heats up quicker. twisted 30 is easy to work with.

BTW Kiwi, have you tried Beyond Vapes Silo/Silo Lite tanks with BVC heads?? Quite awesome tanks/heads for when you're feeling lazy!! VS has the TPC heads in stock so of course I had to order some just to see how they work on the 40.

Interesting. I'm gonna whip up some twisted 30ga then.

And Nope I haven't. Ever since I got into rebuilding almost 2 years ago, it immediately dawned on me that I'll never pay for stock coils again given that a rebuild takes all of 5 mins and costs me pennies. I'm cheap in a weird twisted way. :/

My next attie is likely to be a taifun GT v2 though. Damned thing has a stock 4mm adjustable airflow. Oh my gosh. I'm about to wet my pants from excitement.

Did I mention how much I hate and despise manufacturers like the ones who make the Erlkonigin? The way they choose to have a small stock air hole, and then make you pay extra for another larger airhole post? It's just a complete deek move given that it has AFC. They could've easily added more value to their product at no additional cost. But nope. Charge 180 and then ask for more. Grumbles.

Apologies for the rant. I'm in a bad mood cos im looking for a new atty, and the TAIFUN gt 2 is sold out.

I guess you're just going to have to make do with the Lemo till you can find a Taifun. I've had the Taifun on my radar as well but can never find one!!

If you find any PLEASE let me know!!

Just did my first ni200 coil in my lemo and having a problem with temp control. It keeps switching from temp to volts and back again. If I fire without taking a drag it changes to temp control but as soon as I take a drag it switches to volts. Does anyone know what is causing this?

UPDATE:
510 connection loose, put oring under screw tightened. Working great so far.

The only part of the tobh that is tricky
- and it could be just me- where the block is on the deck for the afc is, it leaves very little space for me to cram the coil in with the leg through the posthole, other than that it is easy.
The clt is from infinite, similar posthole design with more airflow, puts out a ton of vapor and the postholes are bigger making it super easy to do a dual coil build. It comes with 2 drip tips that are wider than the 510.
If you like a cooler vape though and aren't looking for a.cloud chasing rig, i would go back to the magma, a decent tobeco clone can be found on the bay of e for under 15 bucks. It really is a great atty to learn on imho.

I checked the magma out and really like it. Looks like a relatively easy build for me. Rip Trippers, suck my mod gave this a big thumbs up. I like the clone of this by infinite. Ebay had it $23.95. thanks again.

Most likely coil or 510 connections

Ive seen a lot of magma bashing, but i have gravitated back to it every time i try something else. Mostly the convenience. Easy to build, holds a ton of juice for an rda and its a flavor machine.
Its my driving rda, i top it off and and dont have to worry about it for 45 minutes. Definitely not a cloud chucker though. Im finding the hobo and omerta to both have a nice balance though. Nowhere near the juice capacity.

I have nothing in common with anyone who bashes a Magma. :p

Don't use the side post holes either, wrap the legs around the screws and make sure they are secure. I use my 1.4mm FLAThead screwdriver to tighten, actually works better than a phillips head.

YESSS. YESSSSSSS. My plan has worked flawlessly. MWAHAHAHHAAH. Fyi I bought a lemo from fasttech, and a lemo drop from Eciggity lol

That aside,

1) I love the kayfun type atties. Between the kfl+ and r91, I have 9 authentics. But imo they just aren't suited for nickel builds. The airflow simply isn't enough to support the size of the coil. Strictly imo of course, but between PMs with a ton of folks, it seems to be quite a common consensus. It still functions well of course, but no where close to how it was with a solid kanthal build. That's actually my main motivation for buying the lemo. I have no interest in the glass tank at all, but the significant difference in air hole sealed the deal for me.

2) I dont understand why some people (not this thread) are so hung up over having the chip display Celsius or Ferenheit. It's not as if the units actually matter.

What does the part I bolded (not a word) mean in English?

I meant to say with Ni200, your builds are either gonna be very wide (many many wraps), or have a huge inner diameter. IMO you'll need larger airflow in order for sufficient air to hit the entire coil so you get even heating and cooling, or else too much of the coil extends past the airhole and you get poor vapor production and harsher hits

Ok I though that was what you meant and I mostly agree. :) I can do ~3 mm ID coils to 8 or 9 wraps without a problem. 28 guage comes out about 0.16 ohms. I think it works great but then I also think a single coil Magma delivers tons of vapor.
I wrap my coils on a 6-32 screw and squeeze them tighter before installing, finished size is about 3mm ID by 5mm long.

I think it's high time attys came for racetrack shaped air outlets like the cyclopes eyes, we need smarter air management not just bigger round holes. I was hoping the KF 4 would do that. :(

I agree.but then again, the airflow on a KF was always too tight for me. The Erlkonigin is about as tight as I'm willing to go (about the same as a Magma in single coil mode at the largest setting.

Apparently VaporShark is seeing this as well, as they are now offering the Erlkonigin and ErlPrinz on their site :)

Both my Lemo and the Origen V2 arrived today. Putting off coiling the Origen until tomorrow.

The Lemo came with wide open airflow, more than I wanted. Dialed it down by 1/3, raised the TP/TC from 430 to 450, to get a fairly tasteful vape, with more vapor than I have seen from any KF variation. (I have decided against the K4 for the time being.) I am very leery of the glass tank. Though I am not prone to dropping (phones or mods) the skimpiness of the materials concerns me.

You're going to love building the Origen! It's not that bad, it does vape nicely to my taste though some will find the draw tight.
The K4 didn't push my buttons, it looks fine and I don't think the price is bad. I guess I was hoping for something sleeker and more revolutionary in design engineering . Thinking seriously about this RDA Holmes RDA $32.99 - VividSmoke.com

Enjoy your new stuffs :)
