yeah ordered mine on cybermonday and still processing, just so eager to get it. My Solara DNA30 needs a buddy =] in the meantime i been stocking up on attys and such, just picked me up a cigreen x and darkhorse rda, been experimenting with silica wicks, coil builds, and got me some more wire and a giant 200pc pack of japanese organic cotton squares for only 8 bucks on amazon ;d , makes me wonder how much some of these vendors are making off just selling cotton since some go as far to sell it for 1$-2$ PER square pad, which is utterly ridiculous.

I see you're perfecting the tape. LOL
I bought some vinyl that I never got around to using so I'm ready.

Sent from a BIG phone.....Galaxy Note 3

Hahah yeah it's a ton more. Ahem. Elegant. If I may say so myself heheheheh. I wonder if vinyl would work better. My experience with working with vinyl is that unless you can secure the edges very well and nearly, it will start peeling off quickly.

Speaking of which, I think once my other rDNA comes in, I'm gonna be using this fella without the skin. The rDNA feels soooo good without the silicon on.

why are you putting the tape on the dna40s anyways? for scratches from tightening an rba or leaking issues?

Both! But I must stress that it's super super unnecessary for the first reason. Even if there are scratches, you'll never see it with an atty on (99% of the time)

Some people have expressed their strong opinion that leaking wouldn't cause an issue, but as someone who experienced it first hand (erlk leaked in the plane after take off), it's inportant for me personally.

Ditto and thank you. As I previously posted in this thread, a leaking KF led to a few drops on the door and the other side of my bat compartment. I discovered this after I removed the door since nothing was visible until I did this. Weather its a 30 or a 40 the same thing is "likely" to happen.

A little FYI, I rotate my vct5 bats in my 30 every two weeks. No leaks since the last rotation. Guess what? The "skin" holds/collects moisture since it neoprene rubber and I discovered what I will call "condensation" on the screw side of the bat container door after I removed same. The magnet is no better. Just a tiny tiny drop or two but definetly not what you want to see.

HTH
