is that twisted Ni200+Kanthal? or what? (I was telling the guys at my local shop about your twisting kanthal with Ni200, and they thought it was a cool idea)
Finally got a nickel coil built. Used 28 guage with 10 wraps around a 6-32 screw. VS is showing it at a steady .20 ohms. Weird thing though, I do not ever hit TP. Tried all the way up to 30 watts and would not hit tp. I've held the fire button down without taking a draw and still doesn't hit TP. Strange. Also it keeps prompting me with the new atty message each time I reconnect the atty. But vapor was great and things seem to be working. Not sure on the TP thing though. Going to try tearing it down and building another coil later tonight.
It's twisted 2x 30ga Ni200 
The kanthal and nickel hybrid works extremely well, but there's always gonna be a need to calibrate your tenperature settings to your build and wire combination. I'm trying to minimize such unnecessary hassles. This sokution works well enough. Increased robustness (although not as strong as a hybrid) while allowing you to achieve reasonable resistances + no need to calibrate the temperature settings

Hey Kiwi - I'm still loving this build as well, especially in my Lemos. However, I've noticed some significant "popping" with this configuration... not the typical crackling that I love/have no issue with, but an occasional loud explosion! Have you had any similar popping in yours? Loud enough to startle me. I don't like loud sudden noises. I used to absolutely despise fire drills in grade school for the same reason.
Running 430F @ 20-23 watts, never really hit TP. Does it on every juice I've tried so far; various PG/VG ratios.
This came out to 0.19. But another member PM-Ed to say that he has a very similar build, but it came out to 0.09. I'm gonna rebuild my TAIFUN gt with the same build and see how it goes!
Hmm. Nope I haven't had any violent explosions. That said back when I was using twisted kanthal, that would happen sometimes and I've never figured out why.

I wouldn't try it with 28gauge... Feels the wire is gonna be so thick it's a pain to capture under the posts, and the resistance is gonna be incredibly low
